I just tagged you in a sweet deal on the DC Used FB page for a nice BMC. Top tube is 52cm. I think that’s your size and it hits all your wish lists.

I met with the surgeon and had more x-rays taken, the good news is I don’t need an MRI. The bad news is the fracture was visible on the x-rays and the bone has displaced. For me, that means that I will need surgery. Still waiting for the abrasion on my hip to heal before getting the surgery scheduled.

Thanks to everyone for your good wishes and the offer of treats. Given that I am not riding, I will need to pass on the treats. To not disappoint those who desperately wanted to deliver the cookies, I suggest the bakers bring them to a coffee hour. Request donations from the consumers to be passed on to Kitty for her upcoming ride.

That’s too bad Casey, was hoping you would be well on your way to healing up. I’ll think healing thoughts and reach out if you need anything!

Sorry to hear Casey. I hate the damn wood bridges. I fall at least once a year on them. Hopefully you’ll be back to 100% in no time. I’ll keep my eye out at the farmer’s market for you. Heal fast. And if there is anything Judd can do to help, please let me know.

This happens to me a lot. I bought a new bike at Bikenetic a few weeks ago and when I got in the car to go pick it up I suddenly realized that I had no idea at all how to get there in a car. It turns out that I can get there by bike in about the same time as a car.

Whoah. How did I miss this. Where are all the pretty pictures?

I ordered this frame last October and didn’t expect it to arrive for a year. About a month ago, Elephant Bikes emailed to say several people on the waitlist ahead of me had bailed, and the bike was mine if I was ready. I really wasn’t, but if I had said no, I’d have dropped to the end of the list, and it’d be another year for me to get older and slower. I’m glad I said yes :)

As of this early this morning, a fence was erected across the segment of the rock creek trail that passes through the volleyball courts by the Lincoln Memorial. I assume it is for the 4th of July nonsense, but it was quite a surprise for me and Trey as there was no sign saying anything about the trail being closed. We had to ride up the hill through the grass and get on the sidewalk to pass by the fence. I’m not sure if it is still up or not. In past years I happen to recall there being an opening for people using the trail.

Classic style steel at a decent price. If you like the vintage Italian styling (made in Taiwan I think), Reynolds steel, straight top tubes, chrome lugs and Campagnolo components this might be of interest. If you’re into buying your bikes online, Adrenaline Bikes who sell lots of steel and titanium are clearing out the 2016 Masi Gran Criterium. The bike retailed at $2700+ and they are selling it off for $1799. Jenson USA was clearing them out a few months ago for $1599 and I almost bought one but they sold out before I could get the money I needed to buy one (S-1 was being enforced). Unfortunately they don’t have stock of the smallest size (49) which most likely would fit me best.

When I first read this forum thread title, I figured you were a forum user who met him in person and had, until that moment, thought he was a woman.

He would make a sexy woman though. Super guy.
