KeymasterBike-o-meter counted ~376K last year. No where near a million. Maybe it will hit that in his dreams (and mine).

KeymasterCheck out this Twitter video. This woman admits she hasn’t ridden a bike in several year, before jumping on a CaBi bike today.

I believe those details were included in the original post.
Yes. Thanks, Steve.
In review, one mile and a pic. That’s all I’m asking.

I am confused after last night — do we need to get three or five people who haven’t ridden in a year?
Do they have to live in Arlington, or is anywhere in the greater DC region okay?
I have one so far, assuming it is not limited to Arlington. If it is . . . well, most the people I know in Arlington are already way over the top cyclists.

Based on my announcement, THREE new riders (def: someone how hasn’t ridden in more than a year).
My intent was Arlington, but I will accept anyone in the DMV area.

KeymasterThanks to all the Perfect Attendance riders who earned BikeArlington caps during BAFS16. If you didn’t get yours (or wanted the summer version after we ran out), please contact us off line to arrange a pick-up time.

KeymasterWould that be a 0-mile sleaze ride for 10 points, simply b/c it’s outside? I’m thinking not, but I’m not the czar.

This site suggests the bike weighed 32 pounds, 59 pounds loading.
http://www.fortmissoulamuseum.org/blackbicyclecorps.phpPhotographs suggests that the bike was not fixed gear, but instead single speed with coaster brake.

KeymasterMy Top 3:
1) Like-new set of waterproof gloves. Posted to L&F page but no bites. Too small for me, but my wife enjoys them. value ~$50.
2) My own blinky light which had fallen off about 4 hours earlier. Found on return trip from meeting, still blinking in the gutter.
3) $20. + numerous other bills from $1 to $10. Cash is always good.Henry
KeymasterBack in third on this brisk AM. Nice work, everyone.
Oh, and did we decide on a name?

That page is cool and all, but not the law. VA Code is the law. VDOT has some interpretations. BikeArlington, while wonderful, isn’t even a governmental organization.
Technically we are “governmental”, just not responsible for legal code, interpretation there of, nor law enforcement.
From our webpage: BikeArlington is a program of Arlington County Commuter Services (ACCS), a bureau of Arlington’s Department of Environmental Services.

KeymasterCan I put in plug for “quarreling and jealousy”?
Also, how did we get 13 riders when some teams have as few as 9 (not that I’m complaining). I guess the Assignment Overlords know what they are doing.
Henry
KeymasterI think I’ve checked all the boxes and I’m ALL IN! But I sadly can’t do a ride tomorrow AM. Will be at Transportation Camp all day. Will bike there and back, though.

True story: my neighborhood hosted a candidates forum on Monday. Afterwards, while making small talk, I mentioned to one unnamed-but-principally-a-cyclist candidate that I was surprised that I was nearly #500 at the monolith that morning. The candidate did not know what the monolith was and had never seen it (I described it in detail).
Assume you are talking about the Bike-o-Meter. And did the unnamed-but-principally-a-cyclist candidate think the monolith was a good thing?
