saliva always works pretty well in my experience. just remember to wipe it on and let it dry BEFORE you go out in to the cold.

You just want to see how many people are going to spit on their goggles…

I was a tad warm and so eased back a bit so as not to overheat.

Because this is such a classy forum, I know you will all appreciate this pic of my pannier at the end of my commute:

I’ve heard of people using petroleum jelly for this.

I use Aquaphor, which is mostly petroleum jelly. I think it works great, and the stuff specifically says it protects against the effects of cold and wind.

I got home at 10:15. The temp read 16, and I was quite comfortable the whole way from Vienna into falls Church. Admittedly, there was a huge tailwind the whole way, but I’m somewhat encouraged for tomorrow.

I also think Sloppy Seconds needs a break from all that tiresome pedaling, and the cold will only make their efforts more grueling. (Go 7 Samurai!)

I was WAY overdressed for today. It’s almost 50 degrees now, and it’s going to be the coldest day ever tomorrow? What kind of cruel joke is this? (Cuz I ain’t laffin.)

Team 6 would have gotten away with it, if it wasn’t for you meddling kids! Hey, thanks for the name.

Team 6 has a new Strava page: Scoundrels and Nerf Herders. Scoundrels Assemble!!!!

Don’t forget “scruffy lookin’.” And rest assured, as I pass you on the trail I’ll be saying, “will somebody get this big walking carpet out of my way?” I’ll also be certain you’ll be saying, “no reward is worth this,” and you’ll promptly quit Freezing Saddles. It’s all part of my plan.

Thanks for pointing that out that team six was being insincere. I was totally taken in.

I scoff at this as well!

    So there.

I came home from work and put in a sleazy 2.4, only to find out it’s not sleazy at all! Best day ever! (So relieved that I didn’t lose both thumbs to frostbite on a sleaze ride.) (And why were my thumbs the only part of me that was freezing?!?) (I had decent elevation gain, though, which is good.) (Aren’t parentheses great?) ((()))(())((()))

Both of you are wrong. A rest day, or even a rest weekend is very helpful, and let’s not forget this is the cold and flu season, which is best to stay indoors. This holds true for all the teams. I saw many of you at the meet and greet and several of you looked very tired. Your health and well being should come first and that begins with a long rest period.
    Sincerely,
    Team 6

Ha! Team 7 scoffs at your feeble attempt at chicanery! You, sir, are a scoundrel!
