ParticipantHey SQ.
With a longer cage Shimano derailleur and the Apex 11-32 cassette you should be fine.
Here’s the scoop: SRAM shifters are designed to work with SRAM derailleurs. They use a different amount of cable pull to achieve the same amount of movement of the rear derailleur. I use many different cogs on my 10-speed wheelsets. My shifters and derailleurs are SRAM Red, but I use Red, Ultegra and Dura Ace cogs (2-different generations). They all shift quite nicely.
With my older Dura Ace bike, I use the same wheels and cogs.
Just gotta make sure that your derailleur can take up the chain length.

ParticipantDon’t think of it as a low-hanging branch… think of it as something to aspire to bunny hop.
Thanks Tim and Catamountred6.

ParticipantThat is a really bad area. Where are you trying to go? When going through that area, I often either head south at Mount Vernon Ave. and cut across to where I need to go, or I take the new Shirlington Bypass and then take the pedestiran bridge back across 395. It adds 5 or so minutes to your trip, but it is almost completely out of traffic.

ParticipantYou working Friday Mark? You can tag along for part of the ride to Middleburg if y’aunt to. I’ll be rolling out around 11am.
I made it past the $1000 level. That kinda made me happy. Great organization.
Dirt
ParticipantLance is still angry with you for thinking he’s a doper.

ParticipantI got a good look at the fix. It is very well done. They made the hole a little bigger and filled it in with something, then patched the top. That’s what it looks like at least. Cone is still there.

ParticipantThe USAF Classic next Sunday has a great benefit ride associated with it. The Crystal Ride. Kind of a cool opportunity to hang out. I’m doing the MS ride in Middleburg this weekend or I’d be there.

ParticipantWork continues in this area. The trail is great. They’re doing some stuff to fix the grass along the sides of the trail. Probably not an issue for cyclists, except to be aware of people working along the trail if you’re riding through during the day. Just thought I’d post up and say thanks to the folks who did a great job with this section. It is a big improvement.
Dirt
ParticipantI didn’t take its temperature, but that appears to be fix that was done. That may be an area that we’ll have to keep an eye on. If the soil has eroded from under the trail, that little bugger may be back.
Serious kudos to folks for fixing it quickly and well. Thank you!
Dirt
ParticipantYeah. I saw those on my Recon Ride last night. Thank you.
Dirt
ParticipantGreat photos sir. Looks like you had a fantastic weekend. You’re gonna be doing it again next weekend with the Clarendon Cup and USAF Crassic.
Dirt
ParticipantIt is fixed. There’s still a cone in there. It should be removed soon too.
Dirt
ParticipantThere were two cones and a sign on it when I rolled through at 0600 this morning.
