ParticipantI always take 10 or so extras of both colors as I leave. They always manage to be given out over the next couple of months.

Yup. There were two motorcycle officers there this morning around 10 til 7. Looked to be just getting set up at that point.
They were still there after 7:30 when I went by.

ParticipantAnother thing to consider is, if you have a bike rack that uses a wheel trap to secure the front wheel, the fender gets in the way and can cause problems. We’ve got one at our house and while the bike isnt anywhere as secure as I would like it to be, it does work.
Overall I would not buy another “wheel trap” bike rack, but that’s another thread.

I suffer the inverse to your plight. I was not able to ride this weekend and did not sign up. I want to ride the 100 next weekend. What is involved in transferring your slot to me? As a n00b Mtn bike rider I will likely slather on plenty of Epic during the ride.
I’ll see what I can find out and get back to you off line.

ParticipantMy Pearl Izumi’s have the same basic problem as Greenbelt’s Enduras. They cover the tops and sides, but moisture coming up from the road will eventually make its way in.
Yesterday my shoes were just slightly damp around the toe box after an hour in the rain in the morning commute yesterday. My shoes were damp throughout by the time I got home, but they never had a to dry out at all during the day.

ParticipantI’m signed up for the full 100k but am reserving the right to bail early at the 50 mile turn off.

ParticipantI think it was poor Shawn of the Dread that I saw this morning. Rolling down Annandale Rd. Me waving like I should be on the short bus wearing a hockey helmet, instead of driving a car. :p
