Participanthilarious response on the challenge page:
Quote:“Break free of the office, be riding by dawn, bury the obligations and make it happen for three unyielding weeks”.Translation: Tell your boss to shove it up his ass, then get on your bike and ride for your life after you tell your wife to shove the “Honey Do” list where the sun don’t shine. Then prepare to be miserable for three friggin weeks of unyielding bitching. Yeahhhh, were do I sign up?

Oh, it’s totally ridiculous what he’s doing on a road bike, don’t get me wrong. But I wouldn’t try to ride the top of a fence on clipless pedals (and neither would he).
I can barely even ride on a road with clipless pedals
I had my first failure in 10+ years after the Arlington Fun ride. Left a nice gouge in the rear bumper of my car (luckily, plastic).

Hey, Certifried: I have the same pack you do. It is advertised as having a reflective logo, but it does not light up in your picture, especially relative to the rim strips.
I don’t think the front is supposed to be reflective, but there is a triangular patch on both “sides”, which face front and back when mounted on the rack, that is reflective.

Yes, my on-bar headlight is currently on my son’s bars of his BMX bike because he had his license suspended for 3 speeding tickets. /sigh
He gets his license back this week. I hope he learned his lesson.

ParticipantGreat thread, Dirt. I hope more people do this and post their results! Saving lives, man, you’re awesome!
I need more yellow reflective stickers on the frame
Of course, this doesn’t include me, which is a large part of my lateral visibility on the bike. Bright colors and my vis360 light.

Many thanks to Certifried for getting a couple shots of my bubble bike in motion – a view I of course don’t generally get to see!
that first picture shows who your biggest fans were for the entire ride. All the kids I saw absolutely LOVED the bubble bike! One fan was actually spending a lot of time after the ride, just hanging out behind your bike and chasing bubbles. Damn I miss the good ole days.

I’m seriously considering taking a stab at this – I’m thinking I’ll need to mount a couple of LEDs inside the bubble maker to “charge up” the bubble solution. Otherwise should be pretty straightforward.
I’m very disappointed that you didn’t take my request for sustenance containing bubbles as the first request/priority. I’m sure clif-shots would partner with you!

Dirt.
time to get a bubble machine! Those do remove skunk scent, right?
When my oldest was about 8, he took the trash out. Sitting in the trash cans, of course, was a family of skunks. He came running in to the house yelling that he’d been sprayed. The stench was SO strong, it took a good 15-20 seconds to even register it. It took about a week to get the smell out of everything. I had to throw away a lot of my BDUs (army camo uniform) and other clothes because the stink just wouldn’t come out of them. If you’ve never been sprayed or been around someone that has, consider yourself very lucky. It’s amazingly awful.

ParticipantThanks for that link! I don’t have a ton of rides, so it didn’t take very long, maybe 1 minute or so.

That bubble machine is so awesome!! That would be so cool to ride thru rush hour traffic every day.
they didn’t taste too bad either. I had the pleasure of riding behind it on several occasions. I requested “orange” for the flavor next time.
