ParticipantInterestingly enough, it also serves quite well as a bike finder. Say you’re interested in purchasing a “miyata one thousand”

ParticipantNeat, but I’m not interested unless I can program it to draw my own message or it’s a high intensity laser that I can cut cars following too closely in half with.

ParticipantI tried the backpack route, I bought a nice large Chrome messenger bag. Even with minimal gear in there, it was just way too much to carry on my back comfortably. I guess it really depends how long your ride is and how much you plan on carrying, but I wouldn’t invest in too much up front in case it doesn’t work out. As noted, your full suspension bike prevents you from putting a rack on. There are racks that can be bolted on even without drop-outs (the little eyelets that let you bolt on a rack on many commuter/touring type bikes). http://www.thetouringstore.com/TUBUS/Fly/FLY%20PAGE.htm
but I’m pretty sure those won’t work with your bike, the rack would be angled severely.Certifried

Well if Liz is in, then I’m in. I don’t have swag for her though.
I’ll bring enough swagger for everyone

Sure we can all agree that shoaling on Lynn St. is an issue. But let’s not forgot those UBERLITE individuals who go straight on the trail and then pass on the corkscrew – those guys are 0110000101110011011100110110100001101111011011000110010101110011.

The concept of an Elite Jogger just made my brain explode.
I wonder if there is a local forum for elite runners where they complain about elite cyclists all day long hahah

ParticipantSligo Creek Parkway was closed tonight for, I assume, salting. I guess it’s going to freeze tonight. It was fun to have the entire road to myself (until I came across the salt truck lol)

ParticipantAbout 1/2 way through my ride this morning, I looked up. What a gorgeous sunrise! I couldn’t help but think, “man, I hope Dirt is snapping pix of this!”. I wasn’t let down, his twitter feed was beautiful this morning. My own pix are uploading now, and I’ll post a link in a bit. There’s a happy little girl at work today, just chatting away as sweet as squirrels, chipmunks, and birds in the morning. I almost didn’t ride today, but I’m so glad I did.
