The “Kilroy was here” graffiti (cricled in red) became associated with US soldiers during WWII.
Two were included in the WWII Memorial, but not in an obivious place.
They are located on the west side of both arches, in little alcoves with some vents, behind locked gates.

Old Court House Rd NE in Vienna, VA, was repaved and a bike lane added.
Unfortunately the bike lane is only going west – on the downhill side. Also, it is around a blind curve.
