ParticipantSignal somehow to show what you’re planning to do, proceed carefully after someone offers to let you through, then contact DDOT about the light asap.

ParticipantThe storms are mostly gone and Third Thursday happy hour is on!
If you can, please let me know (if you haven’t already) if you plan to come. The weather will be beautiful and patio tables will be in high demand, so a rough headcount will be very helpful. All are welcome!

ParticipantThanks for posting this. Just registered.

ParticipantNot to discount legitimate concerns, but I’m thinking that we may have pleasant weather for happy hour and riding to and from it.

Best Value (!) in road closures . . . While it is not as wonderful as Bike DC it comes in a really close 2nd. I will need to plan on spending more time enjoying those closures next year.
RCannon100 and I were also enjoying it – and we shared the exact same thoughts!

ParticipantAnother post-FCCII option is cruising around closed off and nearly empty DC streets and bridges – a nice morning of 4th of July tradition.
p.s. I’m going to try to make it to FCCII tomorrow!

ParticipantThe pool is OPEN!!!
A little plant life clean up will be helpful, but otherwise it’s good to go.
As I was drafting this, Fast Friendly Guy stopped by and also introduced me to one of my Freds, who henceforth will be known as Paul. A very nice day today. Oh, and I also drafted off a guy in brown flip flops for a few miles. I’m easily amused.

ParticipantI thought that was you!

I left my rain cape at home since it’s supposed to be 90°F. Are we sitting outside in the rain?
No worries. We’ll be under the covered part of the patio. We can always move the party inside too.

ParticipantBumping this up for whoever thinks that a cold beverage on a shaded patio with good people and bikes might a fine way to spend some time this Thursday after work. Newcomers welcome too!

Which exactly are you thinking of? The homepage on BikeArlington.com currently has a whole section on “Latest Forum Threads” and a link to the site on the right hand side.
I usually just tell them to go to the WABA website because it’s so much easier from there. If I’m talking about BikeArlington, I tell them exactly what you suggest, but people sometimes forget all that and focus on the main menu and then tell me they couldn’t find it. It’s happened a couple of times. Not a big deal, but it was a little easier for new people to find when it was on the main menu. Suggesting that they google “Bike Arlington forum” might be a better approach. Good suggestion there.

ParticipantSpeaking of which, even though it happened quite some time ago, it’s harder now to explain to people how to find the forum from the BikeArlington. I think used to be on the main menu on the left. Can it be put back there?
Arlingtonrider
ParticipantI’m not sure if I’ll make it today. Meeting + mugginess might make it a bus day.

We’re still thinking about it. When does the bike ride start?
Registration for the bike parade starts at 10 a.m. and the parade starts at 11 a.m. I think there might be a full schedule on the WABA website.
