Now Dr. Evil is probably, at this very moment, in his mad-scientist photoshop lab.

I was thinking “where are we gonna find a dress that’ll fit a bear costume that’ll fit Steve O?”

Is there a link for the actual proposed project? I didn’t see anything other than directions to the meeting

Is the trail along S Washington Blvd between Boundary Channel Drive to the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial open? I need to get from dowtown to the AF Memorial this afternoon; I know there’s ongoing construction in the area, but I haven’t been that way in awhile. Wanted to be sure it’s passable or if I should take an alternate route.

Parking is free in the Crystal City garages on the weekends, IIRC.

Not if you forget your bike’s in a roof rack on top of your car

Just remember that if you do this, you also need to throw a plastic bag in there to carry the wet morning clothes on the way home. Otherwise, everything else in your bag gets wet.

    Way to ruin the surprise

It certainly won’t with THAT attitude…

Assuming I don’t have some issue that forces me to beg off *and* I am able to secure access to the family vehicle, I could take 2 people. I can only fit one extra bike on my roof rack, but I think I should be able to fit one in the trunk without having to put the entire rear seat down.

My truck seats 5 including me and there’s plenty of room for bikes in the bed

    Just saying… ;)

Would love to see one of these on the 14th St. bridge when the wind is roaring down the river.

More likely to see it floating above the bridge in those conditions

I did a second century in March. To celebrate my birthday and the end of Freezing Saddles, I went to Hains Point with the intention of doing 37 laps for 37 years. It was so much fun that I kept going. Komorebi came along and gave me a really cool gift to track the 50 Centuries in 50 States project. Ran into Bob James shortly after arriving and shared a bunch of laps. Ricky #BikeEveryDay showed up for a bunch of laps as did Mr. T. Later in the day, bunches of people came out for the FSLNHPP and I got to share lots of birthday laps with lots of friends.

I ended up riding 152 miles before I stopped to socialize for the remaining few hours, but I was feeling good enough that I think I could have pulled off a double century.

Some of those territories might need a water bike

Also check the Civil War Century route. That ride starts in Thurmont, but runs between Antietam & Gettysburg. Between those two ride routes, I think you should have some good options to choose from.
