Powerful Pete
Participant… after my initial month in Lima.
Now have my official bike shop/mechanic. My Jamis is a lot happier with the tune-up.
And I am happy I didn’t have to do it (and screw things up in the process).

Can’t you just fix that with duct tape? You can even match the color pretty well.

What the heck are you doing in Peru?! How long are you there? Curious minds want to know.

I have moved. Will be here at least three years. I’m a full time Limeno now, who occasionally appears in Arlington on vacation.
Come visit!
Ceviche!
Pulpo!
Cerveza!
Oh and the riding is interesting here… although I still have to make it out of the city for the really good stuff.

ParticipantWow, I hope you enjoy your stay there Pete. Stay safe! Never seen octopus like that before.
You should visit Lake Titicaca just because it’s fun to say.
I may pop down there at some point for a vacation.

ParticipantMy friend Gail trying out her new towing capability. If I can figure out how to manage the Spout Run and Rosslyn serpentines, I could definitely make it from my house to the Columbia Island boat ramp on this rig …

If you had been performing espionage on the other FS teams’s threads, you would have seen this:

Some might say Boomer drove me to this, but it is actually related to gainful employment – I will be moving to Lima Peru in early March. But I will be on work related travel (to Italy, yay!) as of mid-February.
Personally, I think it was actually Boomer, and PP was just being diplomatic.

ParticipantThanks to Pete Beers and Bikenetic I have a new 54 Jamis Renegade ELITE that will be my stateside bike replacing a 30 year old Raleigh that has a cracked seat tube and was always breaking spokes.

Echoing what Cyndi said… I must say that you made an excellent choice. Not that I am in any way biased towards the Jamis Renegade line…

That just happens to be my size, should you ever need for it to be exercised in your absence…or you no longer wish to follow the Renegade trend established by Powerful Pete!

I am also a 54. Just saying. And don’t let that Boomer person sully the bike. He prefers Treks and not more exotic and sophisticated Jamis bikes.

Do we need to have an intervention?? Like dude ~ how many new bikes have you bought – I mean just this year??? Its a sign you have a deep seated disturbance. Here, take some of these purple pills and you will feel better…
