I’m better at spotting bikes than riders on the trails. Riding glasses and helmets are like superhero disguises, they befuddle me. What do you ride?

For the archives, the 1981 Trek 412, onetime commuter warrior, in its 2014 configuration.

Throwback time: 2 bikes, same location, 22 years apart.

When did trumpets become the de rigueur cycling accessory?

For those of us with less musical talent, would a BikeArlington vuvuzela suffice?

Crossing 15th circa 10:45 this morning on my way to a meeting at the Treasury I saw a dude riding an amazing bike. It was a 1996/1997 Litespeed Unicoi that looked perfectly preserved. Exactly like mine when I built it up way back then, right down to the Cane Creek WAM wheels and the leaky blue RockShox SID fork.

Whoever you are Litespeed dude, I hope you’re having a blast on that awesome frame!
