ParticipantTime to start charging by the pound.

ParticipantI levied the truck call surcharge but gave them a break by conservatively estimating 85 pounds and I did not charge loading time, although it took two trips at the drop which involved two elevator rides between loading dock and office each way, or a total of eight elevator rides. I never charge loading time although doing so is allowed. I’m screwing myself, but I consider loading time part of the job.
It was waiting for me on the loading dock at the pick-up and a shipping clerk pulled it to the edge of the dock for me.

ParticipantI come in late and leave early. 1300 Wilson around 1pm. Tim Kelly walked past once while I was coming out of there. We saw each other but did not recognize when you picked up Pete Denitto on the final lap of the Air Force Classic. I slowed to answer my phone.
I felt I should talk to the guy who I came with because when he caught me towards the end of the previous lap we agreed to finish then and there. Because the laps were a little shorter than I thought, I got confused and thought I might not have gone around enough times for the gold medal, so I got back on course. Then Pete caught me, we rode kinda easy, then I told him to jump on your train when we saw Vicegrip’s BA jersey and my phone rang at the same time. You guys were flying, and I was spent so I might not have been able to hang regardless, but the phone call is a good excuse, right? :p

ParticipantMy primary commuter. A Japanese made Performance parabola from the early 90’s. Paid $35 for it in the late 90’s at a Penn State police auction. Had canti mounts welded on after the original super long reach calipers wore out. Then powder coated light blue.

Now I remember, but I do need to get a spotting in Rosslyn since I live there. And yes, answering the phone is always a good excuse for ditching a sprint, unless of course you’re this guy:

ParticipantOh yeah I’ve told that story before. 😮 You live in Rosslyn but you work in Merrifield? I don’t think our paths will cross.
