ParticipantREI’s labor day sale has a lot of great deals, including lights.

Speaking of which, at the last sale I bought a pair of these Cygolite Hotshot Pro 150 rear lights. If you don’t care if the people behind you get blinded, this is the light to get. It’s ridiculously bright, and even painful to ride behind someone that is using one. I was about to return it until my wife suggested that she might commute to work once in a while. When she gets on the city streets, I want her to be obnoxiously visible to cars, and I think this will do the trick.
Side benefit: you won’t have any creepy drafters

I used to rock the Hotshot and it’s a great commuting light but only in the dry. I went through a couple as they did not seem particularly well-sealed from the elements. My Cygolite headlight is still going strong though and I put it through the wringer.

ParticipantSunyata was eyeing my Chrome Bravo Night backpack last night and while the prices aren’t insaaane over at Competitive Cyclist, the same style can be had for $135. If you’re ok with sand brown, then it’s down to only $88.

Sweet! Thanks for posting. We will be backpack twins now!

ParticipantIf you have access to the site Experticity, I just saw that Continental tires are now available on there. The price is a bit better than Wiggle or Chain Reaction. Shipping is a flat $8 from what I can tell.

ParticipantMXR Hubba Hubba NX deal on Massdrop
Anyone looking for an ultralight tent for bike touring? This one is our current favorite. Freestanding, two doors and vestibules, roomy inside, and it still manages to be lighter and more compact than any 2-person tent I’ve owned. Screamer deal on the price ($400 at REI).
They also have solo and 3-person models available, plus the footprint.

ParticipantChain Reaction Cycles (UK) is having a tire sale. Good prices on Schwalbe tires. The last time I tried to post a UK link I was locked out of the forum for a few days, so you’ll just need to google it.

Weird. I’m a big fan of Chain Reaction Cycles, so I’ll endorse your post (although that is literally meaningless).

Thanks! Time to order a pair of Marathon GT 365s. Actually, 2 pairs – one in 26 x 2.00 for my Breezer and the other in 700×35

I’ve ordered a few things from them via their Amazon storefront. No complaints. (Unlike some other shops I’ve seen, it appears they have the same pricing setup regardless of going through their website or finding them on Amazon, which is a good sign.)

ParticipantKmart has a wired bike computer for sale for $7.79. Sale ends Saturday Oct 21. This is as low as I have seen it. It’s not water proof, but it has back lighting and it’s cheap. Perhaps for a beater or kid bike. If you want weather proof one, I recommend this Planet Bike bike computer, which is $35.

ParticipantBikenetic has a Garmin 510 for at least 25% off (I might have read the sticker color codes wrong).

ParticipantWBW has TRP Spyre mechanicals for $70.19 for today only. I think the best I could find when I picked mine up was $88.
