Sent you and Hancockbs PM’s with the code (since it’s only good for two purchases, I didn’t want to post it publicly for someone else to find).

Never mind my last post (if you saw it before this edit). Dumbass thought code was for Cycliq and not Hammerhead. No wonder why it didn’t work. D’oh!!!!!!

If anyone is in need of a super bright light. Light & Motion apparently produced a bunch of TAZ 1200 (that’s lumens) lights laser etched “800.” So they put a decal over the mis-print and $30 off!

Got REI newsletter in the mail today. 20% off full price items, and outlet store. No bike stuff. It starts this Friday, March 20, and ending Monday April 6.

March last year, it was the same thing, no bike stuff. Best deals last year were just before Memorial day and Thanksgiving.

Will the link help me find my first two Road IDs? Currently hopelessly lost someplace. Someone needs to make one with an imbedded TILE device. Sigh. Time to order another one. Here’s a good tip: Don’t forget to include ORGAN DONOR on the ID. Nice to have a chance to recycle ourselves.

I didn’t get REI newsletter this time, but they are having their annual anniversary sale until next Monday May 25, which is also Memorial Day. Their stores are closed, but you can order online and pickup curbside from 10 AM to 6 PM.

Here is a link to all cycling deals, click on a category to narrow things down.

Cycling related deals(not all, since I don’t have the newsletter, just what’s in their home page); compare to last year:

    15% Off Co-op Cycles.
25% Off Cycle gear and clothing from PEARL iZUMi, Shimano, Troy Lee Designs and more.
25% Off All Kryptonite Cables and Locks.
25% Off Most/All Panniers and Racks, including Ortlieb, and Timbuk2.
20% Off Smith, Suncloud, Native Eyewear, and more Sunglasses.
    25% Off Select Tifosi Sunglasses.

If you don’t have anything in mind, check out this Kryptonite U-Lock, it’s lighter(Measured 1.522 LBS with a Kitchen scale) than the standard one(about one pound lighter). I have been using it for 1 Year+ no unlocking issues, but I filled the keyhole with bike grease so there is no place for water to go to.

They also have at least 25% off Revelate Designs bikepacking stuff. I had two items in the cart that I left overnight, and by the time I was going to pay for it, it sold out :(

REI annual sale at this time of the year. The sale started last Friday until this upcoming Monday. 20% off one full-price item(In stores/online), and 20% off REI-Outlet(Online only).

    Cycling specific items:

25% Off All Pearl Izumi Clothing, Shoes, and Accessories.
20% Off All Bontrager Bike Lights
    25% Off All Shimano Shoes.

No bikes and nothing else, except GPS hand watches. They do have “decent” but expensive bikes in their Outlet store.

Compare to the sale last year.

Because of COVID, they are limiting how many people shop, so look online first for what you want, then visit or order online.

REI is offering extra 25% off Outlet store, ending Monday, two days from now. Here are all cycling items:

    https://www.rei.com/rei-garage/c/cycling?pagesize=90

    Use coupon code EXTRA25.

I bought this small pump, which fits completely inside a seat tube(My seat tube diameter is 27.2mm). Use a steel wire to easily grab it so you don’t have to flip your bike upside down to get it.

    https://www.rei.com/rei-garage/product/188497/planet-bike-air-smith-alx-mini-pump

It’s limited to 100 PSI, but that’s better than nothing.

ElevationLab, which makes accessories for Apple Products, has announced a nondescript way to attach an AirTag to your bicycle using the bottle cage mounts. $20. Use code BIKE to get 20% off. I have a couple of their products and they seem well-designed and well-built.

Saw at LIDL grocery store in Fairfax two items of interest to cyclists:

1 – Repair stand for $40, seems of reasonable quality. It looks like this and has a tool tray(Black/Blue):

    https://www.amazon.com/Yaheetech-Mechanic-Workshop-Maintenance-Extensible/dp/B00TGUL89C/

    2 – Floor pump for $10, 160 PSI, Schrader/Presta compatible.

I have a similar one, purchased at Aldi ($29), after seeing a recommendation by someone on the forum. It works great for normal maintenance.
