Since there was some question regarding whether my recent artwork could be “discerned,” I’m going to the opposite extreme this time. In one year, this place (4927 Auburn Avenue, Bethesda) went from boring standard medical office building (see photos here) to.. well, you’ll see.
Even most buildings with a lot of artwork focus on decorating the entrance. But in this case, some of the other artwork is even more spectacular than the front… Even the loading dock got the treatment.

Wow! This is not only “discernible” but a treasure trove find; somebody please nominate that building’s owner for a #publicartfinder prize!:-0

This one is dangerously close to the “discernible” threshold, but the faceless cabal ultimately decided to let it stand on the #publicartfinder leaderboard

Participant#publicartfinder – appropriately, “Snow Babies” at the Rumsey Playfield in Central Park (were disallowed earlier as a “too early” posting).

It looks like art to me. See the Google Maps image for more clarity.

Difficult to say what this piece is and I couldn’t find any information about it, but it was definitely outside a building (public) and set up to be looked upon as … either a cautionary tale or “ART”. I couldn’t tell whether the degredation of the piece is due to climate and weathering or if it was actually created to look like a trainwreck.

This is another piece I saw today on my first ride. It is the Buffalo Soldier Memorial on Fort Bliss.
