Can’t see a bike in any of these photos, so no point awarded.

Part B for today. This mural is at the Stanton Street Bridge which is the crossing point to/from Mexico. It’s called “ElPasoPortAll” – a play on words with Portal being a word for door and Port (for) all hoping that the port of entry (that’s what they call it) truly is for all. The area around the bridge is starting to come back to life now that the COVID restrictions on crossing have been lifted somewhat.

I see a horse, but not even a reflection of your bike, in this pic, so no point awarded for this one.

I also love how this mural features the national champions, both male and female, of their respective classes (MTB, Road), including further to the right outside your frame, Justin Williams, the first AfroAmerican USA male national criterium and road champ in 2016. He and his brother, Cory, now have their own developmental racing team, Legion of LA, that is creating opportunities for people of color to break into elite-level cycling.

This is the first mural dedicated in the Historic Downtown of Leesburg, VA. It was suggested by the Town to enhance the area around the bike racks and entrance to the Town Hall from the parking garage. This all volunteer effort was designed by local artist Kevin Dunn who directed and organized the installation using students and other volunteer artists from the area. Sherwin-Williams Paint Store in Leesburg donated the paint. The mural was dedicated in September 2016. More photos in my Strava.

That is a great sculpture at the new Longbranch Rec Center, especially at night, but w/out a bike in the pic, it doesn’t count for #publicartfinder

willing to consider this in the category of industrial arts … but not without a bike even in the reflection????

It’s not public art if you have to pay to see it

Sure, but at least there’s public art on the outside (the advertising/mural) so that’s something? Regardless, my nemesis of “no bike in picture” foiled me again. I blame the “10 mile in a ride” requirement for my failure to remember that all too often (I had many days where I went well beyond the 10, but because of the #withkid scoring, it was broken up into multiple rides for each segment/leg so I often had no eligible rides on a day), but dem’s da breaks!

Adding my thanks to you for encouraging this. Even though I knew I had no chance of winning, the prize did give me a reason to meander “just a little more” on a few rides to just get past the 10 mile mark to have a chance of scoring; out of 18 rides I tagged, half were 10.x miles long!

The faceless cabal agrees that this is a stretch, even though one person’s trash can be another person’s art, so no point is awarded for this unartful trash

3/19: OK – this one is a bit of a stretch, but there’s something rather artistic about this collection of scooters and bikes (and a stroller!) that seemingly were retrieved from the Tidal Basin and lined up outside the Jefferson Memorial (NE side by the bike rack there)

This is indeed quite creative, but without a bike in the picture frame, does not earn a point for this competition

This is some sort of utility or transformer box that’s been painted to look like shelves of books. It’s located at one end of Tysons Tales Park. The park has seats and 2 unaffiliated LFLs (with few books). Aside from being right next to busy Westpark Dr, a nice place to relax and read a book. Another photo in my Strava.

Thank you kindly and delighted that this pointless prize motivated you to ride “just a little more” than otherwise would’ve happened. That’s a win [emoji471] for Freezing Saddles;-)

That is a great outcome regardless of the #publicartfinder standings and great to see you off to such a strong start for cycling this year.

Not sure why i rarely remembered to include the bike. I think because the scavenger hunt didn’t require bike–oops
