Still in Dewey park near Lake Needwood.

The mural goes all around this structure, and I woulda gotten MUCH better light taking the pic from around the back, but alas the lighted half was fenced off. I hadda try, though, cuz it’s just gorgeous. I didn’t even get them all – I felt bad about making my friend wait for me to take pix of these 4.

Publicartfinder #1 for today. I think this piece and the others nearby are the result of a former art student who couldn’t part with his/her work and whose partner said, “Get that stuff out of my house/yard.” So now it surrounds the building where the almost-artist works.

Mural on the backside of Aslin Beer where they have all their tents and outdoor seating. Hard to get a good shot as they’re doing some construction and had a large area fenced off. Located on Elden St in Herndon, just a hop-skip-and-jump from the W&OD.

After spending much of last night at the veterinary emergency room instead of biking, I needed something to cheer me up. This is part of a series of playful sculptures called “Gyre and Gimble at Imagination Stage in Bethesda.

Thanks! She ate a whole onion. After reading about how one onion could kill a 60-lb. dog, I was really worried for my 18-lb. dog. But they got her to throw up as much as they could, gave her activated charcoal, and gave me instructions for what to look for for the next five days. I was willing to give up as many Freezing Saddles prizes as I needed to for that.
