    3/16/25 – STAMP

I buy my STAMPs at this post office – & more often I bring in a piece of mail that needs to be metered & they STAMP it.

Course I live around the corner from Consularrider, so this is also Preston King Station in Westover, but luckily a completely different angle 😆 😁🤷🏻

    3/16 stamp

kidSnowy voted for this photo from today’s ride with bikes in reflection

because it reminded us of the frozen confection stamps in our stationery collection (https://about.usps.com/news/national-releases/2016/pr16_053.htm). We got cones from Salumeria in Brookland, an Italian deli with the best gelato deal in town–a waffle cone for $3! A different photo was of the ravioli design on the window that looked like a little stamp with perforated edges. And the third photo was of cherry blossoms that were featured in a bunch of DC-centric USPS stamps.

3/17/25 I was thinking Ted Lasso but figured everyone would. Was biking home from Eye Dr appt and thought of our ancient neighborhood haunt, Cowboy Cafe. The people at the bar had fun helping me look for a LASSO in all of the paintings and knick knacks. Found a cowboy toting a LASSO

    3/17/2025 Lasso

Below is the statue named the Path of Thorns and Roses by Mario Chiado. The statute includes a large circle of thorns that reminds me of a lasso pulling all the enslaved into a world of oppression and misery.

#scavhunt 3/17 – bikingjenn and I seem to be on the same page.  I really wanted to do Ted LASSO since season 4 will be Women’s Soccer, perfect for Women’s History Month, but wasn’t anywhere near a Richmond sign (Go Greyhounds!).  Instead I also went to Cowboy Cafe on Langston, but no LASSO on neither their sign nor the murals painted on the building or the fence

    3/17 lasso

In marathon training we were taught that if you start to get tired in a race, find someone a fair bit ahead of you but still in good view. Loop your imaginary lasso around their waist so they can pull you forward until you catch up to them. Then select someone else farther ahead…

Against the north wind tonight on the MBT I pretended to loop one of these ebikes as it passed me for a psychological boost up the trail. But I should’ve held out for a real horse! Thank you whoever parked this lime bike in an aesthetic spot!

@FionaGrant lucky you. I have trouble deciding what to post almost daily. I often get my husband’s help choosing 😁🤪🤷🏻
