2/18/25 indie.  We nearly sold all our fave indie records to Analog Market when we were downsizing. Fortunately we came to our senses and bought them all back! But it’s still a great place to play vinyl and enjoy great indie coffee from Bump n Grind!

    2/19/2025 Madly

A group of cyclists are madly in love with their early morning bike rides that brings them coffee, pastries and good cheer with friends who cycle too!

    2/19/2025 – Madly

I like this image of a madly pedaling cyclist in the bike parking at Trader Joe’s in Old Town. I might get it tattooed on my thigh.

    2/19/25

I’m kicking myself. I did ride today, but I didn’t take any pictures. I couldn’t think of anything, and I didn’t wanna take my gloves off to take a pic…

But I spent a half hour inside Bikenetic where it’s nice & warm, and I can too think of something to say about them that includes MADLY. I just 🤦🏻‍♀️ didn’t take a pic. 😖🤷🏻

    2/19 madly

The result of madly chasing the view of the quickly setting sun around buildings and up a hill, then madly taking off gloves and freezing fingers to work the phone to snap a photo. Could I madly believe the crepuscular ray pointing up through the clouds is a distant beacon of hope for a brighter future?

2/19/25 madly.  It appears the national park service was madly (and badly) planting reflextive road marker poles along Beach Dr in Rock creek park, just before the high winds we’ve been having. As a result, I came across many orange poles littering the ground, but some thoughtful soul had anchored this one into a drain and it was still standing upright. anyone have a better theory on what these are for?

@fiona-grant, those posts tell show plows where the edge of the road is.  We don’t get enough snow to need them very often, but when you do,  you really do.

    2/19/25 madly

For the most part, I’m madly in like with off-road trails around DC, Maryland & Virginia. The only drawback tonight was a couple of bad, thick ice spots that I walked or sidled across and the doofus who wasn’t controlling his dogs on long leashes on the bike lanes near Rumi’s Maryland Meade works. One loud-mouth beagle came halfway into my lane and the guy actually had something obnoxious to say that I couldn’t quite make out rather than accepting responsibility for being a bad pet owner. Just control your pets in public!
