I found out yesterday that now is garlic scape season. I love garlic scapes and bought out all that Norman’s Farm Market had. I wanted more today and the Montgomery Women’s Farm Market didn’t have them. Hence, I ended up at Norman’s Farm Market for the second day in a row.

My granddaughter swung on these swings (which are right next to the CCT) on one of her first rides after she learned to ride a bike.

With most Little Free Libraries, I can get to them even after dark, but in this case there was a locked door to deter me.
6/13/24 ANGST
There has been a lot of angst concerning whether the bike trail along the Purple Line will include a safe passage under Wisconsin Avenue, given that they eliminated the tunnel the Georgetown Branch Trail used to go through.
6/15/24 – PROUD
I went to Conte’s memorial ride for Scott Binde this morning. In the words of his pastor, Scott was gay & PROUD. He’d co-founded a cycling group called OUTRIDERS, which is about being gay & proud on the bike. There were many people at the ride dressed in Outrider gear. You can see a bit of one of them in this pic (taken after the ride when ppl were sharing Scott memories)
I woulda done a better job getting a pic if I’d found out what the wordle for today was beforehand, but the ride left at 830, so 🥱 no.

6/15/24 PROUD
I am proud that my county government celebrates diversity, when so many these days are trying to ban it. (Square in front of the Executive Office building has a Progress Pride flag, plus the street lights are in rainbow colors.)
6/17/24 – PRIOR
Anne joined us at the start of the ride today – but she wasn’t feeling well and decided to go home. Here’s a pic I took of her PRIOR to her departure.
She LOOKS like a million bucks – but she had no voice, which woulda worked ok cuz she had a bell on her bike – but she realized her chest hurt when she climbed….. 😖….so no.6/18/24 COVER
There is a cover charge for dogs at Bark Social, even though there isn’t one for humans.
