I’m gonna finish ahead of Bob James this year!
Hey, Rod, when is “finished”. I’ve been looking around this forum that I love so much – on the calendar, over here, FAQ – when is the last day?
I found it amusing that Bob was still in the top five for so long even weeks after he stopped riding for FS. Quite an amazing rider (as are you!).

ParticipantI honestly don’t understand the big todo about military bases. I can understand that they might not want sensitive individuals to broadcast their comings and goings, and I know they asked some personnel to not use Strava years ago, but it’s Google that makes these bases discernible. You can just look on a map! Seriously, Democrats should have bigger worries.

ParticipantOM BleXCroid! Nerds! Run away! Run Away! Out of curiosity . . . is this where you find out where the CB is or do I have to figure it out some other way?

ParticipantWhat a nerdy group!
But at least you’re in a group, Cynthia! I seem to be lost in the Matrix.

I’m pleased to announce that Team 22 may now be called the Titanium Geraniums. As y’all know, 22 is the atomic number for titanium, an element known for its strength and toughness. As for geraniums, they are described in the literature as a symbol of elegance and determination. Team 22 combines these many virtues. Tonight we are in 17th place, but that is only temporary.

ParticipantI can’t help because the same thing has been happening to me. I’ve been on the main leaderboard on Strava (although it doesn’t seem to have caught up yet tonight), but not on my team (Team 2) leaderboard. This is especially harsh of computer since I get to be in last place again this year (well, not technically, I suppose, since I’m more like in the ether). I mean, someone’s got to do it, I guess, but I don’t wanna again.
I hope someone can help us BeeTin!
QUOTE=BeeTinDC;172147]Hi folks!
My team captain, the Mighty Brian, let me know that I’m not being tracked in the leaderboard, and I can’t seem to get logged in. I can log in here just fine, and log in via Strava just fine, but when I try to authenticate via Strava it gives me an error message called “athlete not found”.
Very judgey of you, computer, very judgey. Lemme get my post-ride cookie.
Anyone able to help?

ParticipantDon’t know if anyone reads these things, but Strava is down so I came here. Going to try to get a ride in soon, before the rain, on the MT. Vernon trail. Probably be out by 3:30 if anyone wants to meet me along the way.

ParticipantYes, every Wednesday until we start Downtown Breakaway. There are plenty of people who do a slower pace and I wish the group would break up more than it does (everyone tends to get carried into the faster paces at least in the beginning). It really depends on your confidence and what type of bike you have as to whether you’ll hang with the Cat 2,3 people! But there are people with injuries and newbies, so ask around at the beginning and you’ll probably find folks taking it easier.
The only reason I even found this ongoing discussion is because Strava is down. I find these forums cumbersome!

ParticipantThe ride posted above is 6 pm this evening.

So, still trying to understand this forum stuff. We certainly need to be assigned more than one potential ringer . . . LOL!

I’m the only one on my team in our club at the moment, so….
This is SO fraking convoluted! First I wrote to Amalitza asking why I wasn’t on a team. Then I spent 10 minutes trying to sign in because I have no record of a password for this site. Now I’m here, but it’s not at all evident how one actually SIGNS UP for the team. I’ll keep trying to figure it out, but I’d rather be biking!

If someone were to offer a Roadside Assistance service for bicycle riders, I would be the first to sign up. I’m one of those people who are eternally grateful when fellow riders stop to offer help. So this prize is for those who share their technical expertise on the roads or trails, be it for flat tires, slipped chains, etc.
If you stop and help someone on the trail or road, please make note of it on this thread. You are a rock star. There actually is a service for about $30 a year. Kind of like AAA for bikes. Personally, they didn’t always show up when I needed them most (they use tow truck services), so I haven’t signed up with them recently, but some folks really like them. Forgetting the name . . . A really good service would be great!
