Just checking the forums since I assumed HH would be cancelled/postponed. Postponed until TBD makes sense for now.
I love Nadine’s idea of daytime park meet up also….we should do both!
Anyway, be safe out there….and wash your hands!

So, I guess still nothing about rescheduling or Zooming the end of season celebration?
I see some posts about a coffee/hiking club or something posted today, but I guess that’s nothing official. Just hoping I’m not missing anything if I use this last hour to ride.

I see these segments on the ride you posted. When you’re looking at this ride, scroll all the way down to the bottom and click “Show 101 Hidden Efforts”. CW2 and CW5 are both in the list of hidden segments.
I can’t find the segment he has marked as “1” from W&OD to ??? On the Custis trail. Does it still exist? Is it CW1? I don’t even see it in “hidden”. Using a phone makes this harder because there is no way to get to hidden segments without forcing it to open in desktop, which is a real pain.

As usual, the forum software compressed the images, making the street signs unreadable, but I guessed N Union ST and Pendleton ST using Google Maps.
Yep. Do the compressed photos carry that info? I guess clues and such are pretty redundant and boring. Ha.

ParticipantCalvin Ball. So easy to find and get you’d have to hate tigers to leave it there. You don’t hate tigers do you? Vote tigers no matter who!

You put the Calvin Ball in Luray at the top of the mountain 🏔 on Skymass (or Masssky). Great, I’m on my way. Probably also pick up Oxon Hill CB.

Seems Calvinball has pretty much fizzled out this year. Oh, well.
Perhaps replaced by the Ubiquitous George Washington, #nationalday, park finding, etc. Can’t be all that ubiquitous. The only one I’ve even heard of is park finding, which sounds rather drab. I tried it once and it was taking a picture of signs that you find as you’re riding along.

I’d rather we not speak of Mr Happy’s Calvinball(s).

ParticipantDo the Calvin Balls have cooties or what?

ParticipantThat’s okay. I was starting to worry about the one I planted in Maryland, but I guess it’ll be okay as long as grass doesn’t start growing and they need the machinery! lol!
Look how annoyed he is! He had to call his manager about this Calvin Ball thing. I interrupted his no costumers. He was telling me it must be another store up the steps, but there was nothing up there. I don’t envy being a coffee shop barista!

ParticipantThis one was apparently picked up YESTERDAY and this young in’ was super pissed that I took his picture and begged me not to (after I’d taken it). So of course, in the spirit of Calvin, I blew it up!

I knew that was going to happen the moment that I saw it was hidden WITHIN SIGHT of anyone using that very popular trail. (smh)
Yeah, after an extensive bike light search literally all over that thing, I sat down for the third time and looked at the picture. And the circle. It just hadn’t occurred to me. And I thought, “Oh.” Even George and Martha probably weren’t that honest. Oh, wait, they were the truth-tellers, Abe, the republican, was the honest guy. Lol!
To be fair, the one I hid at Dewdrop was somewhat out in the open if you looked down and under the steps. But no one was supposed to go out there other than staff!
