Stepanek Park in Rockville is designed based the peace imagery Mattie used in his last essay book, “Just Peace: A Message of Hope” Center to this garden is a life-size statue of Mattie and his service god, Micah. Mattie was known as a peace advocate and motivational speaker before his death at age 13.

Couldn’t get to a bridge today… but this photo is from a hill overlooking a frozen pond in the Cabin Branch community in Clarksburg, MD. No cyclists in sight, but there was a red car.Sophie CW
