You know how you see some people being absolute jerks on a bike and you really hope that other people (peds, drivers, other cyclists) don’t think that all cyclists are jerks because of the actions of some.
Well, there are some people on this forum that post things that come off as super jerky. I really hope that other people (like you) don’t think that everyone on this forum is a jerk because of the actions of some.
My ears are burning.

ParticipantThere was one on K and Connecticut that looked like those weird blips that show up on Google street view.

ParticipantCool, we can all get like three feet of air on the commute home.

Not too far north of Penn Ave (I’ll get a better location on that next time I’m over there.) The edges are fine but there’s a road-tire-sized gap right in the middle of the plates that could seriously wreck someone. Keep an eye out if you’re northbound.
Yes, right next to Treasury, in both directions.

ParticipantSaw OneEighth leaving Hains Point. He went by me like I wasn’t even pedaling. The really humiliating part was he was riding no-hands and smoking a cigar.

ParticipantRCannon knows some pretty highly placed (and old) cyclists.

I think the next step is you need to get Bob to join the forum. But then again, what if he turns out to be a ginormous freaking jerk? Then your quiet acquaintance will be ruined!
Yep. I avoid reading interviews with actors I think I like, especially the hawt ones, because it never ends well.

We’ll have to see if the OP responds. In my internet forum experience, when someone joins a forum and posts a rant thread on the first day, then never returns to that thread, it’s usually because that person only wants to rant/vent for others to see and doesn’t want dialogue a.k.a. anyone else’s opinion. I hope I’m wrong, but time will tell.
Jason started off with a rant, gave us an excellent new term of endearment/ridicule, and is now posting regularly. So there is hope.

ParticipantThere’s a young woman who comes from DC and heads south on the MVT in the mornings. If I’m late I see her around Gravelly Point; on time right at the bridge; and if I’m early I can pass her around the Tidal Basin. She doesn’t seem like an ELITE cyclist, but she’s out there every day, often wearing a Born to Be Mild t-shirt.

ParticipantThe short-time runners from the local CrossFit all insist on running in the street (no bike lanes). They even do the Crazy Ivan in front of cars at the only intersection in Old Town that doesn’t have a stop sign. I really don’t understand it.
That said, it is a bit amusing that we hate runners in the bike lane as much as drivers hate cyclists in the street.

I usually just load up with my bought lunches at work every day. American serving sizes are big! A burrito from Chipotle with most of the fixings, or a salad from Chop’t is usually enough to keep me fueled up until my dinnertime (which is usually by 6pm). I do keep peanut butter, vegemite, and nuts at my desk as well (I bring in some bread/bagels once a week).
I’m not sure I’ve ever met anyone who likes both peanut butter and vegemite.

Now 161 to go. We’re cutting it close but we should reach the goal. Is this an example of one version of Parkinson’s Law? Since we have until the end of the month, the overall task isn’t reached until the end of the month? And not before then? LOL. I think some people were cramming for this “exam” as if they were still in school.
No, because they/we had to increase the original goal by about 45% in order to contain us.
