That was impressive and dangerous. But even more dangerous was the other pickup truck, which had a hard time deciding whether to take up the entire path or ride on the gravel path. Solution? A little of both.

Methinks we ran into the same dudes – they broke off right after the Custis turn then somehow reappeared down near the Ed Center (I obliged and took the pull until Rosslyn). They are clearly wizards and need to be reported for the misuse of muggle artifacts.

ParticipantGreat ride this morning – except for the absolutely random gnat up the nose. Given the wind and general absence of flying insects, this particular impact was Hale-Bop rare.

Got uberShoaled at the Lynn Street crossing yesterday – I tend to stop a bit before the curb so that people coming from Georgetown can traverse the 66 crossing without having to weave through a ton of bikes.
The three gentlemen that shoaled me appeared to be having a CAT 8 race that I hadn’t gotten the memo about. To add shoalinsult to shoalinjury, two of the gentlemen then decided to ride side-by-side up the hill. I bailed out onto to the road after the hotel to get around them. Also, what is with all of the MTB shorts – own the spandex because it owns you.
ParticipantNo better incentive to dig deep down and summon a CAT 6 POWER PASS than semi-translucent bike shorts.
