Those combined closing speeds are deceptive. Good to see you again.

ParticipantOkay, refining it a bit. Whatever people put on their car to highlight that they are not normally on the road needs to be something catchy and easy for other drivers to take in while driving. Something like a simple graphic of a bike in a circle with a line through it. Would definitely require an accompanying press campaign.

ParticipantSeriously, combined with press coverage this might make the point in a way words never will. Something to think about. We’ve got almost a year to put everything in place—social media to coordinate the effort, coordination with the press, etc. I’m thinking we’ve got the necessary skill sets on this forum.

ParticipantI’m kinda liking the idea of picking a day…maybe during bike-to-work month to have all regular commuters drive in…maybe with a window sticker or something that says “I normally ride a bike, how you like me driving instead?”

ParticipantJust checking—you are looking for road bars not track bars, right? ie, something you can clamp STI’s onto?

ParticipantDCV sighting at 1830-ish today heading West on the Custis shortly before Westover on that stealthy grey Cinelli?
Thought about turning and giving chase but was expected at home.

ParticipantYes, with white tape. My wrists finally gave up on the drop bullhorns. And in my own little world once again…clearly. Yell at me next time—I respond well to yelling.

ParticipantMay I recommend just shaving your head while you’ve got the razor out?

The irony here is that you’ve got them on an old-school steel frame…

ParticipantWhat? You don’t want to lock your knees and keel over like a member of the Black Watch? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sn95OODZpcI

Hmmm…my lightest colored jersey is my Bike Arlington jersey (tied with my Hilly Hundred, but that is made of a heavier material).
I’ve got something that’s more grey than black…

Participant+1 for most things Paul.
Why not go with the Neo-Retro? I would expect they would honk a lot better.
Also BBB pads are lovely. -
