ParticipantTwo sightings on this fine Fall Sunday. One on and one off the bike. Consularrider heading south on the MVT near Belle Haven(on the bike—hope the return trip treated you well; it was quite the headwind). And, Baiskeli and family off the bike (hope the kilt didn’t provoke too many questions this evening—chalk it up to Halloween if it helps…)

ParticipantWas great. I had nowhere to go and took the hilly way there.
I’d be up for a ride out the W&OD for BBQ tomorrow…OneEighth

ParticipantMace is, as I recall, restricted in DC. And MPDC is generally a very understanding bunch.

ParticipantOn the other hand, you could choose to treat having someone on your wheel as an opportunity to pull hard.
Half full or half empty? It’s a choice.Food for thought—
1. If someone shows up behind you, it usually means they caught you. Just sayin’.
2. The person behind you may be on a fixie and may have chosen not to pass because the terrain ahead is about to make you faster on your geared bike.OneEighth
Participant…was made better because Dickie and I were all like twinsies.

Try Jefferson Dr. (eastbound) and Madison Dr. (westbound). Jefferson is usually one of the more pleasant parts of my morning ride.
Definitely. Only downside can be tourists and buses in the evening, but on a bike should be fine. That and the pigeons—they’re a menace. Actually ran over one once. Not sure who was more surprised…
