ParticipantPlease post the link to the Strava club for the team here. That way folks on your team can join and we can add the team to the https://freezingsaddles.org/ leaderboards.

This is the thread for the illustrious team 69. I haven’t created the Strava club yet, but I’ll update this post with a link once I’ve done so.
If this is a real team please post the link to the Strava Club here so that we can add it to the competition teams on the web site.

ParticipantI had to hunt down the Strava club for this team: https://www.strava.com/clubs/Bollardbusters2021 – let the games begin! (I’m an interloper from Team 14 and the Freezing Saddles technology team)

First time for BAFS – do I need to add a hashtag to every ride on Strava for it to be logged? And to confirm, is that hashtag #bafs2021? And do I put that in the title, cor comments, or what? Yeah I know that I can add other hashtags for the other prizes, but I am befuddled by technology so just want to get one thing right. Thanks…
As others have said, no.
I tend to add a #BAFS2021 hashtag to my rides just so that I can mark them for myself and so that if I wanted to later write a program to sort through my rides by hashtag I could.

ParticipantI hereby decree that for 2021 and beyond the official hashtag for this will be #parkfinder – please don’t use #FS2020ParkFinder any longer.

ParticipantI am so looking forward to FS2021, Freezing Saddles was the bright spot in my 2020 for sure, followed closely with finishing writing my book, Docker for Developers: https://www.packtpub.com/product/docker-for-developers/9781789536058.
I just hope I’m healthy enough to complete another ride-every-day season, after finishing my first perfect season in my 4th year this year.

Don’t everybody check Strava at once!
I found a Strava profile with the same name in Arlington that uses the same profile pic (a Redskins halftime pic with cheerleaders and the FedEx field 50 yard line) as a person of the same name who is also on Facebook and lives in Arlington. They have nobody following them on Strava and follow no-one. I have no Facebook friends in common. They haven’t tracked any rides since June 4, 2019 and have a bunch of Arlington Loop rides tracked.

ParticipantMy family convinced me in late March that if I had COVID-19 it would be irresponsible to cycle though it broke my 86 day streak.
(The test was negative – but stopping cycling while I had symptoms was the responsible thing to do)
