    1/12/21 – Bat

On January 12, 1966, ABC premiered its Batman television series, starring Adam West as the caped crusader and Burt Ward as Robin.

    Happy hunting!

I see that Millie has already found this at her local comic book shop. Mine has a reflection of me in my visibility gear in it.

    1/10/21 – Nut

In my research, George Washington Carver may have been born on January 10 (or January 1), 1864, but other sources say he may have been sometime in June also. He’s probably most well known for his work with peanuts, but I thought it would be tough to find “peanut”, so I’m shortening it to “nut”. Happy Hunting!

1/10/21 Nuts. Here is a picture of my biking buddies, each holding a pistachio. So here we have a collection of nuts, but which is it: The pistachios? Or the Biking buddies?

    1/9/21 – Balloon. Happy hunting!

On January 9, 1793: “Blanchard made the first balloon flight in North America, on January 9, 1793, when he ascended from the Washington Prison Yard in Philadelphia and landed in Gloucester county, New Jersey. This flight, observed by President George Washington, spurred interest in ballooning in the United States.”

I was lucky enough to get to ride with the Bike Burke Group this morning including several Saddle Freezers. This is me taking a picture (with my bike in it) of Cathy Miller taking a picture (with her bike in it) of a balloon on a Remax real estate sign.

January 8 is Elvis Presley’s birthday. What were at the bottom of his jumpsuits? Bells! Post a pic of a bell that isn’t on a bike OR an Elvis you spot on your ride (just 1 pic please). Happy hunting!

I’m so impressed with the kindness shown on this thread… all the folks offering to buy others’ gaiters. True Gaiteraid!

    1/7/21 – Moon

On January 7, 1610, Galileo discovered 3 of the moons of Jupiter. Creative entries encouraged, but if your photo of your “moon” is not apparent, please explain. Happy hunting!

1/7/21 The moon is the first letter of the word “COEXIST” on this familiar bumper sticker asking for religious tolerance. This message of peace seems particularly apropos today after violence on Capitol Hill yesterday. Peek my tire low center in the photo.

1/6/21 – Small Business that features beans. Happy hunting!

Not only is it National Bean Day, it’s Rowan Atkinson’s (aka Mr Bean) birthday! Small business definitely means no Chipotle, Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Baja Fresh. Again, it’d be cool if it’s a place you actually like – and if you’d want to – explain why.

Please remember in your posts to either reply/quote this or write the date and what the hunted object is :)

1/6/21 I did not dilly-DAL-ly in finding some delicious vegetarian dishes featuring beans. Small Indian restaurant in Burke.

Please don’t DQ me because they advertise their pizza. It’s not a pizza place, it’s really a Italian restaurant. #spiritofthelaw_nottheletterofthelaw #atleastIdidn’tjustcropthephoto

I’ll do a grace period until 1/4, but on 1/5 and onward, hardarse (me) is gonna start enforcing :)

You broke rule #9 here with more than one pic, but I’ll count it since we’re all new at this.

I know it seems like I’m being a hardarse, but let’s limit it to one pic per day so this thread’s sorta readable at the end :)

    Tough crowd in this thread!

I asked this last year, too! I’m finding Strava clubs are becoming equivalent to searching on Amazon: you get hit with so many irrelevant finds that it’s becoming useless.
