I’m not sure which of the donut rides I can do so please put me on the list for both. I’ll be joining mid-ride. Working around the schedules out visiting kids.

Edelweiss I’m coming on both rides, probably meeting up at Union Mt. With Anne (awitt, quoted here.) I hate figuring out how to get places in DC…. And Anne’s competent and lives near me. 😆

Looking forward to seeing you and riding with you and everyone! You know I don’t come for the donuts…. 😅

Fun Fact: This ride will roll out roughly 12 hours after I roll off of my flight home from Japan. Despite this I am so there, and ride marshalling! (Nothing helps with jet-lag like forcing yourself to spend the day outside on the local schedule). As such, I am a maybe on the pancakes.

So long as I’m not falling asleep by that point, I’m looking forward to the museum visit. Can there be an informal meal/beer afterward?

The best part of this photo is the bro waving(?) to the robot.

We’ll expect you to marshall in Japanese, then…. Or at least bring us a few cool words, willya? [emoji16]

Hey guys, I may be a bad captain, but I did nominate FS for WABA’s annual “best of” awards.

Here’s the link, vote early and often.

And please join WABA if you haven’t.

I found a great newsletter at the other end of that link, and link within that to a list of least year’s bicyclist choice awards – but nothing about this year or how to vote for anyone. Maybe it’s deep in there…? Or somewhere else? Anyhow if you have another link you can post, I’d love to vote for one of the best ever bicycling groups….[emoji16]

Thanks to Steve O and Josh for joining me this morning and providing an audience for my promised slow 41st street topple!

We checked the boxes of being outside before work on a Monady and making coffee, but I have a few things to work on for next time:
    * Find a more efficient way to boil water, or bring hot water in a thermos with me. preferably both.
    * Make it at least 10 degrees warmer, or turn the wind off. preferably both.
    * Make the ground less slippery, or make me a better bike rider. preferably both.

I’m going to try to keep this up as a weekly thing, and would love to continue having company – especially when it is warmer outside!

Hey Cmj are you the Chris I met at Clare & Don’s on Thursday? Don’t want you to think some stranger is tryna follow you on strava…. Cool thing you’re trying here….

This was a joke based on a discussion in the Washington Boulevard Bike Lanes thread where I first demanded that somebody invite me to drink beer at Westover Beer Garden.

Hmmmm ok… So there is no such place, just on street parking? (which yeah, is plentiful around there… [emoji28])

I’m planning to come to this – thanks for doing it & spreading the word! I find this thread messy & confusing, but I’m talking about Sunyata’s Thurs 2/1 happy hr in falls church….. Also thanks for putting it on the calendar! And to reji for re-posting it on the team 15 strava club….

If you can’t bike the entire way, there is plenty of parking at Dismal’s church.

Wow awesome – a happy hour in my backyard!
Just outta curiousity – which is Dismal’s church?

Joan! Welcome to Team 10 Cyclopaths BASF18 (or just Cyclopaths). Reply to this post and I’ll know your forum name. Congratulations on some awesome riding; very inspiring! I know we’ve met, but only briefly. I’m looking forward to riding some miles and I hope you and our other Cyclopaths join in for extra miles and fun. Of course, if I’m ever going to catch up with you, I have to also do some riding on my own. Come join us at Mike’s Deli for pancakes (or anything you like) on Monday at 7:30. Hope we get other Cyclopaths there, too. I’m interested to hear about your rides.

Uh! I missed not only a happy hour but Puerto Rican food… 😨 I didn’t know about the PR food truck @port city. Is that a regular thing? 🙄

Both of them happened on the backside of Hains Point, so 100% of them. If the road was closer to the water, my bike probably would have gone over the fence into the Potomac at one point.

Judd – I love your FS and bicycling spirit! And…. I’m not always good at balancing/knowing when to pull back. But I think if you are ever feeling unhappy or breakdowny enough to consider pulling out of FS, that’s a red flag. Winning the hamster award is cool, but having you in FS is cooler.

I didn’t know about your breakdown last FS… but I’m sorry to hear about it, and very glad you got talked into staying. I think if you ever start thinking that way again hoy should cut back or lead a group ride instead (your prez day ride last Feb was awesome) I’d whatever you hafta do so you get happy playing again. I love FS – and it wouldn’t be the game without you.
