I got a twofer at lake Barcroft and beside it you see my ride buddies passing me & pulling over to wait while I finish taking the pix 💕

The entrance to the pedestrian overpass that goes over rt 66 to the w&od at Madison Manor in Arlington appears outta nowhere like station 9 & 3/4 in Harry Potter See how it looks like a solid wall? When  you get closer it suddenly opens up, like magic.

This scooter left smack dab in the middle of the bike lane, right in front of Arlington’s central library, mighta caused quite a SCRUM* – so I moved it up to the sidewalk [* using the British definition: a place or situation of confusion and racket;
hubbub.]

I took 23 pictures of possible spears – and then I found this, right across the street, on my way home.

My neighbor has a white pocket hence with posts that look like SPEARheads 😃

3/2/25 – DEITY

If I were a DEITY worshipping kinda person I’d be interested in this church They also often have a big sign in front that’s rainbow colored & says in all caps YOU ARE LOVED. Because of that sign I think of it as the Church of Pete, cuz Pete Beers used to post that to fb all the time. He’d literally post ” If you are reading this, you are loved.”

We for sure need more of that, especially without Pete now – so I always appreciate this church

Wow @godzilla that’s a hard story. I’m glad you have sisters – you wouldn’t have wanted to be dealing with all of that alone. Also so sweet to hear freezing Saddles felt like an anchor to you. It feels like that to me too.

The fed thing is surreal. My husband’s a fed too, & I stopped working after I had breast cancer in 08. We’ll just see how that works out for us going forward 😖🤷🏻

There are a coupla bird houses that looks like it’s HOVERing over the water out in the middle of beaver pond.

Beaver pond is on the w&od a mile or so north of Columbia pike, near glencarlyn park

2/28/25 – FUZZY

I went to see Carol today! And her FUZZY dog Neely. Cuz fur 🐶I think they’re both smiling for the camera in this one 😃

I saw so much colorful art today! At the bottom of the ART. But I was on a group ride & it wasn’t a good time to stop  when we were going by the beautiful art.

This was in navy yard by where we stopped. It’s nice too 🤷🏻
