Wow @godzilla that’s a hard story. I’m glad you have sisters – you wouldn’t have wanted to be dealing with all of that alone. Also so sweet to hear freezing Saddles felt like an anchor to you. It feels like that to me too.

The fed thing is surreal. My husband’s a fed too, & I stopped working after I had breast cancer in 08. We’ll just see how that works out for us going forward 😖🤷🏻

@Godzilla, so sorry to hear about your 2025 so far, and many condolences for losing your Dad at such a horrendous time generally. Wonderful writing and so evocative. Overall, wow to you for keeping going amidst thick and thin and you’d get my easy vote for this prize if there were a popular vote. It’s been a lifesaver for me too, mostly for political reasons but also some ailing parent stuff.
