Unfortunately Tim used all his magic beans today conjuring the Prior Incantato spell – and cannot simultaneously conjure a retroactive spell. Thus, Prior Incantato is only powerful for going forward malevolence.
Mtansill looks disappointed as her spell fizzles and her wand noticeably droops.
“I’ll get you, my pretty, and your little dog, too!” she adds dramatically as she flies away on her bicycle, cackling maniacally.

ParticipantErr… yeah. I swear I have very little concept of the calendar these days.

By “this coming Monday”, you mean 14 days, right? (It’s on 2/19)
I’ll talk to milady about coming out to this this Tuesday’s ride

ParticipantMtansill pulls the bicycle pump off her bike and turns around, hiding her actions from view.
She whips back around, and, having produced a wand, touches it to SteveO’s wand (???) and yells, “Prior Incantato!”

The Prior Incantato Spell: Scraped from the floor of Moaning Myrtle’s bathroom, Prior Incanto is a reverse spell to be used on the Malevolent who whine about the score. Freezers may use this spell against the Malevolent who whine that the Freezer has been unfairly or improperly awarded points. If the spell is cast, the points which the Malevolent whined about shall be deducted from the Malevolent‘s score and awarded to the casting Freezer’s score. Likewise if the Malevolent whines that the Malevolent was unfairly deprived of points, any Freezer may cast the spell and those points shall likewise be deducted from the Malevolent and awarded to the casting Freezer.

As far as reviews: everything scored highly at home.
- Of the various “Everything Bagel Donut with Cream Cheese and…” selections I got, I think my favorite was the Everything w/chive from B. Doughnut. The District one was a bit light on the cream cheese, and the bacon, though delicious, was just a little sprinkle on the very end.
- Of the sweet ones I tried, I was pleasantly surprised by the Choc Full O’Love (I don’t think it’s supposed to have chocolate filling, but it was darn good), and the Maple Bacon is always a good one.
- My wife enjoyed both the Twix and Cannoli doughnuts. She had low expectations for the Cannoli (she was underwhelmed by the Creme Brulee the last time she went to District), but she praised the authenticness of the filling.
I admit. I’m a fan of the heart-shaped doughnuts that Dunkin comes out with this time of year, even though I’m not normally into fillings. And cannoli is one of my more favorite donuts from District, it’s true. Good choices!

ParticipantI’m planning on meeting you all at the Lincoln Memorial.

ParticipantI’m working the night shift this Saturday, but don’t have to work Sunday so that means that I can do my normal thing of staying up all day Sunday to switch back to a day schedule. This means that a non-epic ride Sunday afternoon by me is totally do-able.
I am also planning on attending Judd’s Presidents Day History ride this coming Monday.
And don’t forget that this Tuesday, I have put together a Bicycles and Trivia Night in Beltsville.

Hey Delicate Snowflakes, Cap’n Jeff is back, so let’s do a team meetup (and ride?)! It’d be nice to put the faces to the names. If we decide it’ll be on a weekend, I won’t be able to do anything this Saturday (2/10), but I can do something Sunday. Or if another team is doing a big ride, maybe we can infiltrate them
Whatever the case, let’s get together at least once, and soon!
EDIT: Err, I forgot this Sunday is the Stop, Swap, and Save, which I haven’t missed in at least a dozen years. Maybe a meetup/ride later in the afternoon, like around 3?

They’ve been really good about repairing the boardwalk quickly, I wouldn’t be surprised if that is fixed by this afternoon — in the meantime it’s walkoverable. I tagged PGParks.
And PGParks has already responded that they’re on it.

ParticipantWhere: Old Line Bistro, 11011 Baltimore Ave, Beltsville, MD
When: Tuesday, 6 February, 7:00pm – ?Ride your bikes to the Old Line Bistro in Beltsville, MD. We will be playing trivia, which starts at 7:30pm – so arrive in time to sign up if you want to play and find a seat.
There is some bicycle parking out front. We do not recommend that you ride Route 1. If you are coming from the south, head north on Rhode Island Ave, take a right on Sunnyside, a left on Tucker, a left on Ewing, and a right on Bacon to take the back way to Costco. The Old Line is in the shopping center just on the north side of Costco.
Hope to see some folks there!
** Alternate routing is to continue on Rhode Island, crossing over Route 1 and continuing north (beware – awkward intersection). Then take a right onto Sellman and cross Route 1 again using Sellman in front of the Costco. The restaurant will be in the shopping center just north of Costco.

Had a bicycle that just couldn’t swim
So he hooked up an otter
Was towed cross the water
And here ends a story of win!New ordinance: The Phoenix Ball must be hidden next near a body of water.
Someone might like the new swag:

I captured 7 from local “libraries”. Sneaky, some aren’t findable via LFL registries!
Nice job! By my estimation there are still 7 out there checking out books, taking into account Stryke’s find. Almost every location has/had two.

ParticipantToday has been a day for Frozemon sightings!
Alert! A frozemon has been sighted where the Phoenix Ball was hidden today.
Alert! Another nerdist or two has been sighted checking out books – this time off the Trolley Trail.
Alert! A Frozemon has been spotted in the Hyattsville Rain Garden! (Note: Do not trample any plants in your search – I hide with a regard to cultivated landscape.)
Alert! A Frozemon has been spotted learning about water fowl at Lake Artemesia!
Alert! A frozemon has been spotted at the extraordinarily large instruments in Hyattsville near Vigilante. And here’s a little incentive for those seekers of nerdists:

I googled for libraries in the area and discovered the College Park Community Library. Lucky for me, I found a Rubbergloveymon hiding in the back!
So is part of playing this game being OK with creeping around, rifling in trash bins and risking people calling the police on you?
Eww! Try again.
