Huzzah. I ride home by that every day. No excuse to miss this month’s TTHH!

Just watching the opening credits, this movie lends itself for a few good connections for the “6 degrees to Kevin Bacon” game…a veritable who’s who…

Rode with two other cyclists down Clarendon Blvd from Clarendon to Rosslyn. Soaked to the bone but we were all smiling…

Wait, you mean I don’t have to wear a corset when I ride? Oh…whoops.

I’m attempting the entire enchilada with Mark. And, would love to build a little train of folks (I will not be pulling any Tim Kelley heroics and am about surviving the day…)

Also, I have to do a 125 mile ride this weekend. Have no access to car so I’ll be starting in Arlington and I don’t want to build in any insane climbs. I will be most likely be riding by myself so will need easy and often water stops. Thoughts and suggestions appreciated.

Ha! Now that I think of it, I think I stared right back at you! I was wearing my WABA jersey yesterday.

It’s a nice ride. Well supported and the club volunteers were all nice and friendly. We started late b/c my friend was at the registration table so we were in the tail end of the 61 mile group. The tomato sandwich stop ran out of tomato sandwiches but the PB&J’s were divine. But, I had a tomato sandwich at the end and I can now see what all the fuss is about.

Beautiful riding and the rest stops were along the water so there were nice vistas down (and up) from them. I’d call the ride a combo of rollers and extended flat sections. Something for everyone.

No problems with parking, they did a fantastic job of directing people in and making use of the fields. The nature center is located in a beautiful spot. I’ll probably do this ride again next year and start a little earlier…

From the pics on their facebook page, it does look like parking is in a field…

    Tomato sammiches!?!? Bonus!

Once I figure out which jersey will be clean on Saturday, I’ll post what I’ll be wearing here so you can find me. I’ll also figure out what time I’ll be heading out and post that here, too, once I know.

It has been done for a few years, yes. I did it two years ago and it was a lot of fun.

If anyone is planning on doing it, PLEASE let Fionnuala know and make sure she has slots left. She has only a certain number of spaces and needs RSVPs. If you RSVP and can’t show up, please let her know so she can open up a slot for someone else.

They were pulling up the timing mats around 11:15 or so, so they may have turned it off before then.

Yesterday I had a good ride despite nearly no sleep and a cold that moved into the lungs. I saw a bunch of you out there and tried to wave but sort of settled into a head down and ride mode. (I was wearing my University of Pennsylvania kit so it I rode by you and didn’t wave, please blame the cough medicine for my rudeness.) Have to thank Tim for a brief pull. He didn’t lap me until my 4th time up the hill, so I’m feeling pretty good about that.

When I got near the finish of my 6th lap, I psyched myself up to do another lap but was part of the first group to get pulled from the course to go back out. Would have made 7 total for my day which will be my goal next year. I totally would have made it before the pros started lining up. Oh well…

Saw the start of the pros then headed home. First race I haven’t stuck around for since its inception. I was feeling so lousy I just needed to go to bed, so that’s what I did.

I’ll be at the early early shift in Ballston and am depending on Dirt to wake me up with appropriate inappropriate songs and dancing. I will then go to Rosslyn around 7:15 – 7:30ish.
