I’m happy to help tilt. Can you share the email address? Do you mind if I copy-paste-edit?
I would also love this email. I know a few people that would love to politely discuss the tour bus parking at Hains Point.

I used to have a high rate of failure with my previous phone (HTC One X), but pairing and syncing now Just Works™ with my Moto G (Google phone).
With the new app it I have at best a 10% success rate on the first try without my intervention. Usually I have to open the ride on the 510 and hit the upload button 3 or more times until it finally works on my iPhone5.

The new Garmin units that sync automatically are pretty low maintenance.

I love your solution and, as awesome as it is, I cant comprehend how long it took you to make all that. But it would be cool to be able to take those hangers off the wall and stick them to the side of the tool box as needed. It reminds me of a french cleat systems, totally modular.

Thanks, Matt!
Next time my wife complains about my corner of the basement I am showing her these pictures.
That’s how this started. My wife was tired of bikes scattered around the house, and even more fed up with me wheeling them through the kitchen, so she kicked me out.

I presume the cars have been relegated to the outdoors? Boy, they must be pissed.
People put cars inside the garage? Then what is the driveway for?
Also, the bike is on the stand because I cant count, I am one bike hanger short.

I feel the need to ask for some sort of explanation, but I fear the response.

Depending on where you are going, cutting through Columbia Island and the Pentagon reservation is a great way to avoid the horror of Gravelly Pt.
They also have well maintained public restroom facilities there.

ParticipantAfter talking all sort of shit about how I never gets flats on my 28mm gatorskins @ FCC, I got a damn flat right after I left.
I blame Shawn.

ParticipantWhat are the FCC caravan plans for BTWD? I usually go to Rosslyn, but if the caravan is going a different route I would be interested in tagging along.

ParticipantSince most of the build/buy dilemma in this thread seems to pertain to fixies, I will add this. All of those brand new, awesomely priced fixed gear bikes you see are hi-ten steel. I would rather pay more for a good chromoly frame and build it up myself.
I would also buy parts one by one as I found really good deals instead of waiting until I had the cash to buy it all at once. Watch craigslist, or just tell dcv what you are looking for and he will be your own personal craigslist notification system. 😎

An early heads up on one other thing too – those who would like to have an “official” BAFS nametag should try to let me know as soon as possible ahead of time if they plan to come to the event.
Melissa and I will be there. Likely arrival around 6:00.

ParticipantHere are two GPX samples from last weekend. One exported from Garmin Connect, one from Strava. Both were recorded with a Garmin Edge 510.

ParticipantBut that is going to end where the sound barrier starts, no?
I would much rather have a 2 way cycle-track that goes all the way up the hill over the 66 bridge and join in where the trail makes the 90 degree turn.
