That tunnel takes human sacrifices sometimes to keep the gateway to hell closed. I respect you for attempting to traverse it though… Sorry to hear you got hurt :(
I have nothing constructive to say.

There was a dude riding a jackhammer there when I passed by earlier. I wonder if there are carbon models.

In which case an empty video camera housing would be cheaper and just as effective.

This is probably an irrelevant aside, but just be aware that doing this opens the property owner up to huge liability/damages in the case of a more serious crime or accident in which the victim would have a reasonable expectation of security or investigation from the “fake” camera. One of those “burglar sues you for falling through your skylight” kind of situations, among others more rightful and serious.

Thanks for your work on this stuff and for reaching out about this project Ray. It seems tough.

Looks to me like the project is stuck with no workable alternatives to a bad design, and no exceptions are able to be made to locate it in a more practical area (none of which I’d blame anybody working on the project for). I’m a bit confused as to why “the public” is being asked for input if it can’t actually be moved but a few feet from where it is already planned. I’d rather not see a cabi station at the location at all than deal with the daily conflicts and ill will that people using, and bikeshare vans servicing, a cabi station in that location is going to generate. It sucks for everybody in the end. So when can we expect the thing to be installed ?

    The article is amusing.

Somewhere in the scriptures of the Juddha is the idea that Anger and insults are a gift that when not accepted continue to belong to to giver, until they are released into the winds at Hains Point.

She’ll wind up using that trail on south side of 27 that starts near the pentagon 911 memorial to get to the MVT. It’s not pleasant.

Should have picked it up in your tires as planned, I’m very disappointed in you two.

It makes me pretty sad that I was unable to find any of these cards the few times I went through the area over the past month or so. It’s probably my favorite Freezing Saddles game concept. It would be a cool way to get people off the well worn paths too. I’ll have to steal it and run something like it next year. I have a lot of old worthless magic cards sitting in the closet…

I test rode the mid range Sequoia a while back and really really liked it, and right now it’s #1 on my list for my next bike. I’d recommend giving one a spin if you have a chance. It felt more nimble and faster than my aluminum Scott hybrid (sub30) even though it is steel and has bigger tires, so obviously the ride was smoother too. It was a superior feel to the Trek Crossrip, Scott Sub10, and Marin Muirwood which I’ve ridden too, but those are just a few more unfair comparisons really. More comparable would be the Spot Wazee that I tried but was a little scared off of by the salesman cause he kept talking about things that needed to be upgraded on it (brakes, wheels) which seems silly to me for a $2200 commuter. I’m waiting for a 2017 BadBoy to show up in the shop around the corner from me.

I’ve got to try out a few more bikes though because my test riding experience is very limited. There aren’t any Salsa vendors close enough to me for my taste, which is too bad. I guess I should try a Renegade but I’d feel like I was cramping Komorebi’s style.
JJ – when you test ride some of those models you posted, I’d like to hear your impressions!

It’s fun to have “friendly” competition. I have a feeling Team 15 will be back in the lead soon. Team 10 will soon fall in the standings due to excessive

And a “team ride” straight to Guantanamo Bay after their arrests for subversive action this coming Monday.
