Team 14 Gather round! First order of business is to come up with a winning Team name. Once we have a name I will make a Strava group. Random number 14 stuff. A 14 sided cube is an octahedron, a british unit of weight the Stone is 14 pounds and a Sonnet is a 14 line poem.

Update! Strava team 14 is up and running. I have it set as request to follow so Steve O and the Slackers can’t barge in, eat all the doughnuts and drink the coffee! Name and logo are placeholders.

No worries. Will miss having you ride with us. I think we still have the minimum number (4) so that this is still an official BAFS team ride/event.

I’m planning to ride Sunday – Meet at Java Shack , ride to Duffy’s. I’d love to do the route you’re doing – 18+ miles – but might be slower. Anyone else want to ride with me – I think I’ll probably average 9-12 mph rather than… 12-15?

I’d like to encourage any would be infiltrators who are more “casual” riders to please ride with streetsmarts. I would love for her to be able to ride the same route as the “faster” group. But should probably leave 30 minutes earlier to be able to get Duffy’s at about the same time.

I’d do it and her pace would be fine for me, but I will need to be at Valley and Kenwood in Alexandria that morning (QueenoftheMark has prevailed upon the Mayor to speak to the Agudas Achim Sisterhood, and QOTM wants maximum turn out, even if I am not a “sister”) so probably can’t leave that location till around noon.

Chuck and I are planning to do the Conte’s hill ride again tomorrow and wanted to see if anyone else would like to join us. More info can be found at the link below:

The ride usually wraps up around 1000-1030. Last week they were kind enough to provide bagels and coffee afterwards. Come out if you can to enjoy the last day of this crazy warm weather!

I will do the same as last week. Meet the group at Glebe and Chesterbrook ~0845 … assuming they’re not slackers and late like last week. Then break off after the country club climb to go home.

We didn’t have an official team ride to Duffy’s because just three of us: me, HF, and Chris. Plus my friends Bob and Ben (not BAFSers). And no infiltrators. But a fun ride to Duffy’s nonetheless. Chris and Ben had to head back to Arlington, so just me, HF, and Bob for wings, beers, and … wait for it … pupusas! The pupusas were awesome! That’s what happens when you have a Salvadoran cook in an Irish pub. Y’all missed a great ride and great food and drink!
