1/16 Brewing

After new dealing with kbikeva, back to the hood for a beverage in a tent with fire. Belgium Blond and Hellwig were on tap and were a fitting end to our ride outside on FxCo. Whether coffee or beer, good place, good company, nice LBS.

So I just want to say my mom and sister are artists, I have HS classmates who are artists, some of my best friends are artists named Laura BUT this is just so wrong on so many levels that the bike improves the sculpture. I prefer abstract landscapes.

1/15/21 – the BAGEL

Being a Jersey girl I find Virginia, Maryland and DC, bagels lacking some thing. But, this place has a good name and back in the olden, olden, olden days, good bagels now just a clever name. 1/12/21 – The Bat Hunt

Easy, go to the nature center and read the signs: all forest, no bats.

Go to National Wildlife Federation: ghosttown, no bat houses, displays or anything bat-worthy.

Go to the USPS and ask to buy bat stamps—oh no, a $0.37 first class. Staff was very kind and I have a backup picture of bat stamps in the post office.

Go to LBS:not open.

Give up and go to Total Wine & eureka! Success, and because I didn’t bring the bike in, I had to buy the beer and bring it to the house. Problem: cannot W&OD trail patrol carrying a 6-pack on the rack, just not ladylike. Also, in 2017 my son & I visited Rogue Brewing in Portland, OR. He takes me to all the nice places!

1/11/21 – Plane

There were no planes I could catch in Lovettsville, Waterford, or Picnic Wood Road. Axline Road was a whole new experience. So off to an airport for sitting planes. Best I could do with such short notice.
