I think Judd needs a beer

ParticipantI couldn’t figure out any way to get them to stay in place without the shifter cables. They would fall completely off my hands every 100 yards or so, which doesn’t end up being very effective at keeping my hands warm.

Thanks for the info. I wonder what I signed up for? I filled in all the info, authorized strava, gave my estimated miles and last years miles, etc. I am 99% sure that there was link on here to register. But anyway. I will wait to see another registration and sign up then.
Damn it Judd what did you do to Alan this time

I doubt Bier Barron will have it, but it sounds good.
The Brikskellar would have had it on the menu, but been out of it when you asked

ParticipantNo slackers. Anyone who joins the Strava club shows up on the Friends of BAFS page and is welcome to hang out, join rides, play games, etc, but they will NOT show up on any leaderboards.

Form looks good to me, but then all Ima do is register and ride my bike so I’d accept whatever. Thank you to all those doing the work.
We’re going to kick you out of the forum if you don’t join in the complaining and arguing

You can throw my name in the hat for helping with Happy Hour events. This will be my first season participating in frozen saddles, if approved
That’s a relief. I saw your forum handle and assumed you were here to sell us gray market pharmaceuticals.

If I’m going to be on my own if I decide to take over, does that mean I’m free to come up with a “system” for team assignments that may or may not closely resemble the existing system? And do we absolutely have to have local teams? Since it would be my first time doing it, I’d rather make it as “simple” as possible.
If you volunteer for something that’s a big enough PITA, you get to make command decisions without telling anyone or seeking approval.

Hi all. I’d be happy to help organize the welcome happy hour and the end-of-season prize ceremony together with CBGanimal, but only if you don’t mind me abstaining from the team competition this year. Up to you…
You past contributions more than entitle you to be a non-competitive participant. And those are excellent reasons not to compete.

ParticipantOne thing to note about local teams – my experience is that it puts DC teams at a disadvantage. Our team tended to be better than average at getting out for a quick ride on a crappy day, but we didn’t get anywhere close to the mileage of the people with 15-20 mile commutes. On a solid team I should be maybe 5th place but I lead my team in miles. My experience may not reflect everyone’s, but will not be doing a local team again.

ParticipantI will reiterate my pedantic complaint that FCC at Swings, being the original, does not need the “I”.
Otherwise it looks good. Thanks for the work!
