ParticipantWhat happened to the report button? This is clearly a spambot and needs to be removed

ParticipantSorry for the late RSVP. I am in. Had to confirm the soccer practice run could happen without me

ParticipantHave any of our people abroad tried a VPN? Not a bad thing for everyone to know how to use these days. Here’s a writeup of VPNs if you don’t know what they are. It comes from a VPN company but it’s a pretty good basic overview.

ParticipantTotally understandable when people can’t ride for legitimate reasons. In 2019 I tore my Achilles in early March, obviously couldn’t finish the competition.
That’s why I suggested a very small penalty – it doesn’t really hurt those who are attempting to compete but temporarily can not, it just sends a message that everyone should really get out there when you ARE able.

ParticipantFriends of the MVT posted today that the MVT is closed from 14th St Bridge to Daingerfield Island for the plane crash

ParticipantI’m all for more stats pages, but I think if people aren’t reading the RULES, they also aren’t going to read any stats page.

ParticipantI agree on carrot vs stick, but the current scoring system is about as big a carrot as you can get without penalizing people for riding TOO MANY miles.
Maybe the problem is that people don’t read so they don’t know the rules. Does anyone who is a better dancer than me (so literally everyone) want to make a TikTok that explains you should be riding every day?

ParticipantJust came here to ask DCAKen’s question as well. In Boston for the weekend and will get a ride or two in on the local bike share system. I’m nowhere near winning the competition so it doesn’t REALLY matter but I’m also not a cheater

ParticipantTeam captains should be making the teams. You just have to 1) ride and 2) thank your captain for their service

ParticipantWool socks and an overheated core. If my core is warmer than I’d ideally want it, my hands and feet stay warm longer.

ParticipantI’ve been reliably informed by The Cabal that teams will come out this weekend. Keep freezing out there!

ParticipantI just finished a CaBi ride and as I pulled out my phone to stop Strava, I dropped it. The screen went face first into the pedal. Phone still works but screen is toast. I don’t really know what’s going to happen to the ride. I’m hoping it’s just sitting there, waiting for me, when I get my phone back this afternoon.

ParticipantThank you for taking these over. My kids are high school now so I can barely get them near a bike AND I’m the worst prize sponsor ever, so much better you than me

ParticipantI still want out. Put me on a team with a couple of lunatic Loudon county supercommuters. Throw in a PG County exurb resident or two, LFG
