Does Judd’s link work (with pictures displayed) for anyone? I tried it in 3 browsers and the inline images never load…
I went directly to the images referenced in the page’s HTML source, and I was getting a 403 Forbidden error.

5. @ Judd – The link you sent may have changed during copy/paste process. Any chance you might be able to resend?
Remove some extraneous spaces, percent decode, and you get this.

ParticipantHere’s a route I just put together. Really, I think you need to decide how you’re going to cross 495 and 66. AFAIK, the main bike-friendly crossings for those (other than the W&OD) in the area are Oak St and Idylwood Rd for the former (but Oak’s a lot less stressful) and Virginia Ln or Barbour St for the latter (pretty similar IMO). I’m a big fan of Washington Blvd, and now most of it (but not all) has painted bike lanes. Other caveats with this route include the off-roading part in South Railroad Street Park (by the beginning) and the ramp onto Washington Blvd (over 66, by the in-progress W&OD bridge). I think you should be comfortable riding on well-trafficked streets, but it’s how I’d get from Dunn Loring to Rosslyn entirely avoiding trails.
Bentbike might also be able to help.

- Person that visited the most parks per mile split into two groups: visited 6 – 30 parks and visited more than 30 parks
- 6-30 parks was Kilgore T who rode 355 miles to visit 8 parks (average of 44 miles per park)
- greater than 30 parks was Alan A who road 2063 miles to visit 49 parks (average of 42 miles per park)
Aren’t those the people who visited the least parks per mile (for both groups), i.e. those the most miles per park? E.g. Matt W has 3.38 miles per park (or ~.296 parks per mile) so he should be winning the >30 park category (I assume, I didn’t run numbers for everyone). Or is the award for the reciprocal of what you stated?

I can’t find the segment he has marked as “1” from W&OD to ??? On the Custis trail. Does it still exist? Is it CW1? I don’t even see it in “hidden”. Using a phone makes this harder because there is no way to get to hidden segments without forcing it to open in desktop, which is a real pain.
FWIW you’re on the 2017 thread. This would be the one that you want.

Good to know you heard back!
Still waiting to hear about the Bootlegger 100, which would be the weekend after down in Lenoir, NC. No refunds on cancellations so they should be sending stuff out soon. I have a bit of time before my airbnb needs to be cancelled so I haven’t reached out yet, but yeah.
Pretty sure you should just cancel the airbnb. I can’t see any large events being held over the next month or two, at least responsibly.

ParticipantTwo years ago we postponed the closing HH to early/mid-April due to weather(?!), so there’s certainly precedent for pushing it back.
