Already has! Lots of sleaze rides for me during the week, but they make for better extended cooldowns after indoor trainer stuff. The weekends have been fun too, after missing some days last week I finally decided to ride the W&OD end-to-end which was unexpected, but gotta get them points!

That and it’s shown me how easy it is to bike to downtown Leesburg (and thus, the W&OD) from my house, so that has been huge. Now to see what types of growler holders I can fit to the crit bike…

Oh dang, I didn’t realize this was a thing! I’m doing a gravel ride in The Plains earlier, so I’ll keep an eye out for next month’s. At this rate March will be when the ‘real’ winter hits :D

The only thing I’ll caution on doing the longest routes is to pay attention to the time while at the distilleries.

That’s some sage advice, and something I would not have thought of. A feeling of being rushed can really set back the weekend.

Still waiting to see how they handle the routes this year, looks like they’re retooling them a bit to let the shorter distances hit some more distilleries but we’ll see. Depending on how they do that it’ll make game time decisions a bit easier to make if a shorter route still has a lot of the same benefits.

    bump!

I’ll be there! Legs are feeling a bit toast this week so will be definitely taking my time, but looks like a fun ride with some sweet elevation.

EDIT: Also doing the 2 and 3 sessions of the Shimano Frostbite Series in The Plains VA later on in Feb.

Hey everyone, started riding this summer and heard about the BAFS through the Reston Bike Club. Out in Leesburg and looking forward to riding a lot of chilly gravel this winter :D
