    1/9/25 – WAFER.  Just one wafer-thin piece of ice could end an otherwise splendid freeze-ride.  Note woefully cracked fingers from participating in this epic community sport.

    Arriving into Austin late in the afternoon, we headed straight for the CapMetro Bikes. For the sake of Freezing Saddles, we risked cybercrime by downloading and signing up for a dodgy app with mucho complaints. 1_5_25_ Cyber bikes

    I’m scared of horses, but I held my nerve when this handsome fella walked over and said hello. I’m sure he was after food or a warm blanket – but I patted his nose and admired his eyelashes instead. Amazing animals.

    Hi Stephanie,

    Herndon to Arlington is a solid commute – sounds like you’ll be on the leaderboard in no time! I’m based in Silver Spring and have no commute since I freelance, but am looking forward to exploring more of the local trails and freezing my tuckus off.
