Le Sigh…At least my girl likes the bike….:) Good thing I did not take pictures with the other side of the shop in the background. (note to self. Bike images in front of garage not inside garage.

57 coupe converted into a race car a long time ago and then raced as the Good Dr. intended. It has rubbed paint in many a corner. I am converting it back to rat rod street form for a fellow Porsche nut. Bathtubs are fun but Longhoods are downright sexy. 😎
freshly built Tarmac included to cover the bike content requirement.

I love that, like you said, you race these cars like they were intended to be. Too many lead a life of back-and-forth to the mall and never clean the carbon off the plugs.

Tandem bicycle content – are cantis really strong enough to stop that bike in a hurry? I’d take a hard look at mini-Vs for it.

Anyone ever seen a Sparse light? Successful Kickstarter, now they’re selling lights from their website. I’ve been looking for something pretty enough to put on the Pinarello.

    USB-rechargeable and I got mine for $35-ish.

Almost all the problems are in the same area north of R St. It’s kids in the summer, and it’s kids in the dark of winter. It’s always kids that are doing these things. There have been more incidents than that article points out.

I already have a great cross bike. Buying this would only be because I am too lazy to take off fenders and a rack every weekend to race it. I’m lazy, but I’m not that lazy.

Okay, yes I am, but I’m already buying one new bike this month.

I do not need this. I do not need this. I do not need this.

Someone please buy this before I do.

There are racks on the Capitol grounds outside the House side, just to the north.

I have a Thule rack on my wife’s car and really like it. It’s simple to use and extremely secure, and I like the way the aero bars look up there.

    Enough about that.

    What are you getting?!

Does anyone have a rack that would fit on a Mazda 3 hatchback that I could borrow for the weekend of September 18-21?

    Biking in Bar Harbor, Maine.

Some of my favorite biking ever was around the park and up Cadillac Mountain. Enjoy it.

I may have missed how tall you are, but my wife’s old Giant OCR2 road bike would probably work for you. It’s an extra small so you’d need to be under 5’4″. I’d be happy to sell it for $350 – it has Shimano 105 components and mounts for a rear rack. I think it will mount fenders as well but I’m not 100%.

The Virginia Avenue rail tunnel is a terrible band-aid for a rail line that should never be located in the city to begin with. If the policymakers had any foresight they would re-route freight around the city through one of the various available rights-of-way through Southern Maryland.

(but tell us how you really feel…)

Teah, texting while riding the TdF is pretty dumb. But I like that he rocks the beard! I listen to a ITV Tour podcast for additional interviews and analysis post-stage, and they, among other things, noted that it was funny that he rocks the beard while wearing an aero helmet. Wonder if he tested the relative aerodynamic effects of beard vs. no beard? :D

Many of you already know this, but disc brakes are awesome. They will be even better when I learn how to adjust them. Good to note – when you get on them hard down a hill with 300 pounds on the bike, it may smell like they are on fire. This may or may not be carcinogenic.

I don’t know what’s on there stock but it’s relatively easy to upgrade to larger rotors on almost any disc brake. It’s a matter of buying an adapter and the rotor itself. Larger rotors will have less fade and more heat capacity so you’ll cook your pads less.
