ParticipantThe C&O continues on thru Shepardstown WVA, if Harpers Ferry isnt far enough, all the way up to Cumberland gap and on into Pittsburgh (via the Great Allegheny Passage). Lots of options and distances, its all upto you. The C&O is 184 end to end, and the GAP is 385 from DC to Pittsburgh, with easy stops along the way.

I got lots of feedback in Rock Creek Park yesterday. Everytime I stopped, people were commenting on “that crazy lighting system”.
Eh, I was thinking more along the lines of towing a compressed air tank in a baby trailer and mounting a set of train horns to the front of the bike.

ParticipantI used the “clean side”/ “not-so-clean” side method. Laptop and clothes in one side. Lunch, coffee etc in the other. and as above, I keep a stock of plastic bags as well.

What about unscented baby wipes? There’s a lot of variation in baby wipes.
Unscented baby wipes are what I’ve been using for bout 6 months and they work great for me. I can’t recommend the Wegmen’s house brand, they tend to ball up easily, making wiping down a bit of a chore. Thicker name brand ones seem to work better.

I’m in that race too. I’ll be the one attacking out the back.
