ParticipantIf only it was true!

ParticipantHow else would I get to and from work? I have done some century rides in the upper 90s and my advice is similar to the above. Most of all, hydrate, find shade, don’t try to set speed records, and rest as needed.

ParticipantTurned out to be very poorly laid out for the Tour de Cure homebound ride. Very tough getting to the stop sign on Elden. At least there was live traffic control at the stop light by the station.

ParticipantBut it is totally gone now (as of Friday afternoon I believe). Wonder if it will make the appearance again?

ParticipantThis will make my third year. It is a good challenge for me to get 8 laps (100km) in the three and a half hours with no stopping. Hey, I’m sure the participation medals and t-shirts are worth the entry price.

ParticipantSomeone needs to let Arlington County know, they seem to love stop signs and traffic lights on the Custis and W&OD trails. I always obey the light over the stop sign, why should the cyclist be the only one who has to stop at the intersection?

ParticipantInteresting, in the 2010 GMAC Insurance article in the same paper, the conclusion was quite different.

ParticipantOf course, us short chunky guys have the opposite issue, too much material that can bunch up.

ParticipantI particularly take offence to having brights flashed at me by someone zooming up on my butt at considerably over the speed limit. Just one more instance of agressive driving be translated into the norm.

ParticipantIt’s been heavy traffic all week, carry over from B2WD and nice weather? Your shot at N Ft Myer Dr (Lynn is the next light) isn’t all that unusual between 7:30 and 8:00 am. Love the shot of the rider running the light. Did she pass around the stopped traffic or hook a left from a traffic lane/N Ft Myer sidewalk?

ParticipantWho gets to hit the eject button?

ParticipantI could do this. A dive bar huh?
