    2/23 Otter

once upon a time, the Anacostia River was a playground for the river otter. But, for a long time, it was a hazard for all. Fortunately, the human race is trying to heal the river and make it, once more, a safe river for wildlife, including the playful otter

Question for the handful of people following this: any interest in a (probably small) group ride to hit all of the DC     locations on the NPS map?  Based on my schedule, I’m thinking maybe Sunday, March 9 with a 10/11AM start in either Georgetown or Alexandria, depending on what seems a better direction to travel.  The ride would be ~30 miles from Fort Greble to Battery Kemble, with a complete loop coming in around ~50 miles for those who’d bike the entire way around.”

Interested, but might be constrained on how far I can ride.

with temperatures well below freezing, I had to laugh that today was the day to plant the pansies.

Though it it is a nice reminder that spring is on the way. 🤗

An independent owner (Pete Buck), in front of his independent bike shop (Handy Bikes), leaning on a bike that his independent shop recently worked on. Shop is located at 3800 Wheeler Avenue in Alexandria, currently most everything in the shop is 20%-50% off.
