LOLOLOLOL You know what, I have one those Lowe Pro cases. I just never thought it would work very well on my bike. I will give it a try with some velcro straps.

    Thanks so much.

Thank everyone. I will consider this. @Jabberwocky do you have any pictures of how you mount it up?

Thanks those recommendations. However, this will mount on a cross bike with the cables running along to top side of the top tube. Thus, that bag will not work so well.

I find myself drawn to simple commuters with flair lately and I keep coming back to this.

I had a really nice ride. In terms of speed, I crushed it. Did it in 5 hours and 51 minutes with an average speed of 17.4. For me, that was huge. I didn’t even look at the stats while riding so for a rider that averages 15.5 most of the time I was surprised. The big helping of headwind sucked.

    Heres a couple of pics.

I had my first Dirt sighting on the way back from Mount Vernon today. We ran into each other where 4 Mile Run hits the MVT. I decided to turn around and introduce myself. So I rode with Dirt down the 4 Mile Run trail until I hit the Custis Trail to complete the Arlington Loop. I was a great impromptu detour on my way home. Dirt managed to get a picture of the sighting.

Thanks for all the comments. This was a really nice ride and I would have been nervous to make it without your input. The return from RC was a bit slow and congested but otherwise great.

Glad your ride turned out well.
