You might also want to consider riding or taking a bus to a yellow line metro station (several easy options) and then riding home from the Huntington metro station. Metro allows bikes after 7 pm.

When I’m preparing to pass someone on the trail or bridge, I usually put my left arm out a bit and hold it there for a second or two, sort of in between a slowing down and left turn signal, to let anyone who happens to be behind me know that I’ll be veering to the left momentarily. Seems to work.

A few of us made it, despite the rain. Apologies for not getting everyone in the photo, especially Dickie with his sore shoulder and arm splint and KLizotte, who valiantly made it there with her leg splint and scooter.

It was a fun evening. Nice to meet Jeff, Erin and Kelly too. Hope you will join us again!

The weather channel map on my phone shows this clearing out very shortly. Our tables are under the awning, so I think we’ll be ok, just delayed somewhat. I’ll be there by 5:15 or so.
